New England Tile Installation

We were in the process of remodeling our kitchen and needed a quick turnaround on tiling the floor. I called a few places and Gabriel was the quickest to respond and also gave us the best quote. We told him we were working against a tight deadline and even though he was really busy, he accommodated our timeline and did a STELLAR job. He worked around our uneven floor and even fixed the squeaky spots. We couldn’t be happier. On top of that, he was very professional, easy to work with, kept us updated with progress, and was always quick to respond to any questions. We’re so glad we went with New England Tile Installation, and would again for any other tile project down the road. Thank you again Gabriel!

This is my first Unilocal review and I’m proud to be writing it about NE Tile Installation, and more specifically, the owner Gabriel.
My wife and I were looking to replace the tile in our kitchen and I left messages for a few different places on Unilocal.Gabriel was the only one to return my call and he called back within 5 minutes!
Gabriel came by and measured for the job and sent me a quote within a day or two. He even gave us the option of buying our own supplies and doing some of the demolition ourselves to save money.
We set a date for a couple weeks away and as questions came up while I was at Home Depot buying tiles, grout, etc. — he was always quick to reply with best practices and advice. This continued throughout the process as I had questions about drying time, when to wipe it, etc.
My apartment building in Southie was built in 1880 and the floors (although newer than 1880) were a mess. The kitchen was higher in some areas and with a piece being added on at some point, major parts of the floor were DRASTICALLY different heights. Gabriel introduced different sub floor materials in different areas to make up for this problem and was always clear about telling me what he was doing and why.
The finished product is amazing and I will upload photos once we replace the baseboards/​molding!
If you want to work with someone who is fair, on time, honest, friendly and talented — look no further.
Make sure that you stay on top of communication as contractors get busy, but if Gabriel says it is OK to text with him — you will always be in the loop.
