I barely review on Unilocal but want to warn future brides out there about the stress Novreeb caused on my sangeet night. Noureeb was scheduled to arrive at 9 am at my house for henna for myself and family members. We had confirmed this time several times. At 930 am friday she did not show– we call her and she never left Boston(lives two hours away from us) and ended up showing up at noon. This caused massive amounts of stress for all of us as we were running on a tight schedule. She never apologized and instead said she was told not to show up(blatant lie). When it came to tying my chuni in my reception outfit she spent 5 min– and then charged 150 dollars for the 5 min. Would completely avoid her at all costs.

My friends asked me why my henna was«melting» or «smeared.» She is capable of fine work sometimes as I saw it on another customer. But she is unreliable. The design I chose she said cost more. Wiling to pay for quality, I happily gave the money. She rushed through a sloppy design and did only half the design. When I pointed out the difference she said my hand was smaller so the design looked different — except there was no work on my fingers at all(and, logically, a smaller hand should look more full with the same design). She grudgingly made a few sloppy swirls. While she did the work on my hand she was more focused on looking up to chat with others — sometimes she wasn’t even looking down as she worked. The«bait and switch» and then being told what I’m seeing with my eyes is not what I’m seeing made this a very frustrating and negative experience. Plus I have a smeared design on my hand for a week. Since I do henna myself(did my sister’s bridal henna and do all my family’s henna every holiday), I know the difference between filling in the hand with henna smears and doing the real work. But in this case, the sloppy work is obvious to anyone who sees it. It defeats the purpose of getting it done.
