If I could just write a post with out giving a star they don’t even deserve a 1! I miss the old owners this pace is garbage no flavor at all! Food was horrible I ordered the sesame chicken which use to have broccoli and strips of chicken in a nice sauce now it is chunks of god knows what when I cut them open it was like fried bread no chicken at all and no broccoli at all either. Crabrangoons where good my boyfriend said that the chicken and peanuts was okay but he could tell a difference as we have been ordering from taste of China since 2010! They will never get my business again until the old owners return I am so mad they sold it, this place will shut down soon with no business.

Dinner combos are great here– you get two appetizers like rangoons or wings. The fried rice is a bit overdone but other than that no complaints. Solid take out and a very friendly staff.

First time here. In a nutshell: I really liked their food. It’s good, the crab rangoons tasted so good(something a little different in them? Whatever it was, it was good!!!) The inside is a little run down but we were getting our food to go. The food came out fast(but not too fast so it didn’t feel like all they did was warm it up like at some Chinese food places). The dinner specials are very generous in portion size and the different combinations seemed great. I see some people writing some unkind things about the person taking the orders. Here’s the thing: he’s busy. Very, very busy. When you are calling in, there are people waiting in line to order or pick up so I can see why he doesn’t have time to chit chat. I found him to be serious, and not rude. Just another way to look at it for what it’s worth.

YO Rude FAT Asian dude answering phone. Ruined my meal … We did not place a huge order, Pepper Steak with Onions, some Pork Fried Rice and a couple of Egg Rolls. Lets begin with the Pepper Steak. Small, thin, stringy, tough pieces of beef accompanied by under cooked peppers and onions in a watery brown soup. Enough said about that. The fried rice. Pale, light beige containing no vegetables and one or two small shreds of pork. We don’t know how they call this Pork Fried Rice. The the Egg Rolls. Soft, not fried crispy and tasteless. They gave us a free wonton soup with our order, which we decided to toss without opening(could not stand anymore disappointing food at that point). We are guessing that this restaurant survives on the non-repeat business of the tourists on nearby Hutchinson Island. Do yourself a favor, stay away.

Currently the best Chinese food in Framingham. The new owners have done a nice job so far.

When ordering at any Chinese takeout, I’m obsessed with either shrimp or pork fried rice. I grew up in NJ and there is ONLY one place that I’ll ever go because they make the best fried rice ever. This place’s fried rice comes to a close second. Why 3 stars? Even though the prices are dirty cheap, which is the best part, I came in 45 minutes before closing time and they told me that they were closed. What the hell? Who turns customers away? Especially one that was craving Chinese to death… Love the food, dislike the way they mislead customers with their operation hours. I still will come back anyway, just not an hour before closing time.

Every time I eat here the food is fresh and hot. The appetizers are home made and not frozen and they have the best Hot & Sour soup I’ve ever had. I’d give it 5 stars but Unilocal does t take me seriously and marks my reviews as not reliable.

My family has sworn off this place. We used to order all the time because 1) it’s close and conveniently located 2) the prices are very reasonable. However, one time my brother allegedly found a beak in his chicken(??). Not to mention the wonton soup I literally all cabbage. Since when is cabbage even an ingredient in wonton soup? Add this to the bad service and condition of the restaurant itself, I would steer anyone away from dining from here.

We ordered our food to be delivered at 6:06 and they said 45 minutes it has now been 2 hours it is 7:55 and the man we ordered from spoke terrible English we couldn’t even understand him I hope the food makes up for it but we are starving don’t expect a quick delivery time because it is going to be a long time we are very disappointed this place is 2.7 miles from were we are ordering from it should take like five minutes this place is terrible timing I have had a terrible experience from this place we just got the food and it is 8:20 the food was great and the guy that was at the door was nice but this was not worth the wait

Like a few comments have said, the place is not much to look at. But the food does make up for it. I’ve been a customer for about 3 years and I still have not had a bad meals. What I love about the place is the fact that it’s always the same cooks witch in return gives you that same great taste every time. What I can never turn down is the garlic chicken with veggies, pork fried rice, the boneless ribs and those delicious chicken fingers. OKIMREADY!

I had takeout from here and perhaps because of other reviews I was expecting a dinghy place but was surprised that although a bit dated, it wasn’t too bad. It’s not fine restaurant quality by a long shot but it didn’t give me a bad impression. The kitchen is completely open so you can see it is clean and well organized. Ordering went smoothly and per their menu I requested no MSG. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time and looked fresh and light. As far as taste it was right up my alley as I like the tradition American/Chinese comfort food and know I’m not getting the«authentic» Chinese. The amount of food will give you dinner and then lunch the next day at an exceptional price. I really enjoyed it and have it 4 stars as it was as expected for this style of «Chinese» and I would definitely get takeout there again.

I only suggest takeout here, as it’s not much of a dining experience. I highly suggest getting the pork lo mein and the large shrimp and broccoli with cashews. excellent Chinese takeout option near framingham centre.

There is no chinese restaurant in the Framingham area that has the best of everything. Taste of China has the best Peking Ravioli, but the rest of the food is average. You get a lot of crab rangoons in an order and they’re pretty good. Chicken fingers are decent, though the boneless spare ribs aren’t so great. It’s somewhat of a hole in the wall, but you can tell that the kitchen is very clean. Though it’s a little thing — it’s nice that they put aluminum foil at the top of the bag to help keep the food warm — nice tough.

Taste of China? Not sure why part of China they are referring to. Bad food can happen anywhere, but rarely is it not edible! Ordered 2 separate dishes for a carry out order. Beef and broccoli was terrible! I honestly don’t remember the last time I had to actually throw food away and order more from a different place. Staff seemed rather friendly and overall ordering experience was pleasant, but where it is most important(food) failed miserably. It was without a doubt a «taste» of something but def not China!

I have eaten here a few times over the last few years and have never had a bad meal from here though my last experience was a bit off. I had ordered a lunch special, by number mind you, and somehow still managed to get the wrong order. My chicken with broccoli was actually beef with broccoli. Not enough ugh to make me return and complain, I very happily ate it along with the pork fried rice, chicken fingers and egg roll. It was a good value for the money and my tummy was quite satisfied.

I cannot believe some of the negative reviews. This has been one of my favorite Chinese places for years, and I’ve had their stuff so many times I’ve lost count. It’s not a place to go sit down and dine in, one visit will tell you that. So I’ve taken one star off for that reason only, but in truth, why sit down, just order take out, and you’ll love it. C’mon, if you are ordering chow main or beef teriaki, that’s not even Chinese food, it’s supposed to be bland. Try a lunch or dinner special, you get enough for two meals. I suggest any Szechuan dish, although my favorite is ordering chicken with vegetables, and ask for extra spice. Portions are huge, get the chicken fingers, hot and sour soup, Hunan shrimp, chicken or beef. You will love it. They don’t waste the restaurant budget making it lovely, they give you very tasty and plentiful mandarin and szechuan food for much less than most. You will not regret it, but please be advised, if your idea od Chinese food is fried shrimp or egg foo yung, you won’t like this place, as you are not really used to the more sophisticated Chinese take out. It’s a hole in the wall, but it’s worth it.

Great Genral Gao Chicken I can’t complain at all. Everytime I have been in there I have always gotten good service. The place however look like it could use some TLC a lot of it. The kitchen although cluttered seemed to be clean to me.

Wow with all the bad reviews I was scared and could feel my stomach start to gurgle but it was late. I had been going since 5 am and just finished a bunch of meetings and being a taxi Mom that I actual didn’t care. There wasn’t much open and I was too exhausted to drive around to hunt something down and drove by and saw the open light so I pulled around and parked. The place was deserted and as the other reviews mention it did give me the eebbs. The place needs more than a cleaning. My BFF says bleach can do wonders so I am thinking a wholesale order may be needed here. The dining room looks too old to say it is old. I scanned the various menus taped down to the counter and saw what I believe is the husband and wife talking to each other. She came over to take my order and seemed in a hurry so I am assuming they were going to be closing soon since it already looked closed. The kitchen appeared clean in a non greasy kind of way and it wasn’t too disorganized. I asked her what was fresh and easy and she quicly commented«everything». Hmm. Still skeptical but still tired and hungry I ordered a dinner combo for about $ 10. Choice of rice: Fried Meal: Schewan Shrimp with Veggies Side: Double order of crab rangoons Extra: Small hot and sour soup. They both got to cooking and I was on the road home. I was still a bit scared but got a spoon and fork turned on the tube and sat back in faith. Wow…It was fresh, spicy, and wasn’t bland. I can see how the fried rice could be bland alone but mixed with the shrimp and veggies it was pretty good. The mushrooms were simple from a can but other than that it was a really good meal. The crab rangoons came in a little wax paper pouch much like the app dried noodles many places give for crunching on. There were 4 in each bag and the soup was also bagged up which I liked(spilling that stuff on the floor mat in the car is a nightmare to clean). I was actually too full for the crab or soup and saved some of the meal for lunch the next day. The second day warm up was just as good. The crab got a little crunchy in the toaster oven and the filling was more sweet than crab like. The soup was actually hot in the hot and sour. It didn’t make my nose run or eyes water(still looking for that) but overall it made me want to go back for more. So now what? Was it a one time off the hip kind of meal? Should I venture out again to this eebby place? Maybe I should ask again if everything is fresh. 1 star for the place — don’t eat in, don’t look around, you may run out 4 stars for the food
