I’ve been trying to up my activity level as if late but man my feet have been killing me! Popped in to the shop today as I was curious to explore options for treating my plantar fasciitis and had a few minutes to burn before a doctor’s appointment next door. I was warmly greeted by a petite woman(I believe her name was Ellie). She answered all my questions and gave me some literature to look over– no sales pressure at all. They didn’t have what I was looking for today however I did learn about some different options and if my podiatrist thinks their arch supports are a good fit, I’ll be back.

I have to disagree about the saleslady on the reviews I have seen here. She is someone who is doing their best to earn a living. I found her to be a wonderful, caring person. Of course she has to give a sales pitch. How else to sell a very expensive product. When I forgot my velcro at the store I called her and she was so pleasant and promptly mailed it out to me. I had many questions and she took her time and answered all of them without pressuring me. Now onto the product itself. I bought the system, a pair of sneakers and slippers. It set me back a grand, BUT, I was in pain and I am not in pain any longer. I am in my did fifties, and I don’t wear high spike heels anymore, but I am able to wear alot of different shoes I couldn’t wear. I am hoping to go back today to get a new pair of the sneakers which are specially made with springs into the heels which helps when walking. I was in major heel pain but after wearing the sneakers with the support I can honestly say it went away, so to me, it was totally worth it.

I was at the Good Feet store Framingham recently. The saleswoman is SUCH an overseller. She refused to get straight to the orthotic fitting, she had to do her whole routine even though I had just seen her do it with another customer. She is basically on autopilot and bores you with story after story of people she’s helped with the orthotics, what a hero she is for helping so many people, etc. It pained me to buy a $ 300 orthotic from her(that’s how much the basic one is), but I am in a lot of pain so I did it. It’s been helpful so far, but you have to go through a hard-sell to buy the thing. It’s a totally annoying experience. I’m glad they are guaranteed for life because I never want to walk in there again.

The salesperson there was very warm but a bit slow in conversing. I thought the space would be larger and more than just one salesperson. She was servicing me and another customer at the same time so it’s not so personal. It’s definitely not customized. A foot print was taken but it was just to show where the pressure points are. I did buy the arch support since my current one is wearing off. It’s supposively lifetime guaranteed. Rather expensive but if it doesn’t wear off in 3 months, it’s well worth it. I’ll find out how well it works with my work shoes.
