I had to try the famous zehanders chicken while in town. Luckily, they have a café below the sit-​down restaurant with the same options, just in a ‘fast’ setting. I had chicken fresh out of the fryer, Mac ‘n cheese, string beans and a roll. The chicken was ok, I don’t think it was extraordinary. I’m glad I stopped, but now that I’ve had it I don’t need to return.

Just plain decadence. The sweets here are unbelievable and the breads fantastic. The selection is larger than anywhere else I have ever been and we here there later on Sunday when it had been pretty much picked over.

I think calling this spot a bakery is somewhat of a misnomer! It’s HUGE! Bakery, shop, restaurant, etc etc. Really fun visit. I only tried some of the baked goods and chocolates, but they were delicious and reasonably priced. The spot was packed even early on a Sunday. The staff was super friendly and accommodating and I liked that there were plenty of check out counters all over the place.
We took a swing by the history wall upstairs and it was quite a good read! Guinness book shout out — nice!
Truly, this is a spot not to be missed. I’m not even sure what else to say — except stop in! You won’t be disappointed.

I think the proper name is Zehnder’s Marketplace, located beneath Zehnder’s Restaurant.
Really cool Polish Pottery! I mean — nice, real nice!
Doughnuts the size of dinner plates! And breads, and cakes, and cookies — oh my! Gifts galore. Don’t walk in here with an appetite — eat first. The fresh breads and other baked goods will make your pocketbook quite a bit lighter.
Don’t park out back, or else you’ll have to endure the smell of fresh breads being baked.
Decisions, decisions, decisions! Need I say more?!?
There is such a variety of cakes, pastries, breads, chocolates and cookies to choose from, one does not know where to begin.
The individual desserts may seem a bit pricey for some, but so worth it if you have a sweet tooth craving!
