Asian Buffet

This buffet was the best in town, now has gone downhill from food to almost no air conditioning.

We waited 5 min to be seated with no wait ahead of us at 1200. Grill was awful, doesn’t help that I put too much sauce on the lomein noodles, it looked and tasted burnt. Hot tea was hot brown water, the sushi wasn’t even close to fresh, but they only used krab. Soups were not flavorful, all in all this is the worst Asian buffet I have been to. So why 2 stars? $ 5 per person, clean, comfortable and nice enough servers. They need quality control on their food and there wouldn’t be as much wasted.

I’m sad that I wasted my Friday night calories here. I’ve been here a few times before, and the food had been decent in the past. I don’t know if it was just an off night or what, but I can’t say I will be wanting to come back. Nothing from the buffet was warm and the food tasted indescribably bland. I’ll refrain from describing how icky the ice cream scoop for the dessert bar was. How does a buffet go from $ 4.99 to $ 5.29, yet the food quality plummets? I usually have to hold myself back from eating more than three crab rangoon. Tonight, I took one bite and I was done.

On a wet and rainy Friday night in Frankfort my friends and I couldn’t resist the lure of a $ 4.99 Chinese buffet. The lo mien noodles were very good. The buttered crab (or imitation crab, I’m not sure), was also tasty. I also enjoyed the crab ragoon and a pot sticker. My friend had an eggroll and warned us against eating them. The salmon was grey, which was worrisome. They have a hibachi grill, but no one was manning the grill. For dessert you have several options of fruit, jello, pudding, and ice cream. I had a scoop of ice cream. The ice cream was faintly freezer burned.
The décor is dated and a tad dingy. The restroom smells like mothballs.
We sat at a table in the back and a little after 9:30 a server came back there, we knew to kick us out, so we hopped up. According to the website the restaurant closes at 10 on Fridays and Saturdays, so I’m not sure why they were trying to push us out the door.
Note: There is definitely MSG in the food. I woke up with a headache the next morning. Will I be back? Well…$ 4.99…Asian Buffet… maybe.

I have been here now 8 times now and I would have to say that this is a good place to eat. The food is always fresh and seasoned perfectly. The buffet is only $ 4.99 and that is All-​You-​Can– Eat all day, everyday, this is a deal. There is many varieties of chooses and plenty to enjoy. I will continue to eat there every Friday and Saturday since I go to Frankfort on those days. I would recommend this to you and have done so to my associates and friends. I will post pictures of tonight’s buffet in my next review. On the service, the waitress’s are on top of things, the drinks were filled before empty, the dirty plates did not sit long on the table, and the waitress’s are very polite and nice. The atmosphere is very relaxing and enjoyable. The place is clean and looks to be well maintained.
This is a great place to eat Asian/​Chinese food, and I would recommend you trying it for yourself. One of the best parts of this great place to eat some great Asian food is the price you pay for it… LOOK…$ 4.99 All Day — Everyday with a lot of food to choose from. You cannot go wrong with the price, quality, and quantity of the food you get for $ 4.99.
