This place is a hidden gem in Frankfort. Maybe not so hidden, but I’m surprised they don’t have more reviews. We catered from here for my son’s baptism and ordered the bow tie pasta, a chicken dish, salad, and a beautiful cake. Everything was reasonably priced and excellent. My family came in here today for lunch and the food was fresh and very good. Love their soups and sandwiches. A must try if you are in the area.

Funky little joint with limited options. I’m ok with that as long as it’s good!!! I had the Italians sandwich, which was tasty! Was surprised to find regular lunch ham in the sandwich. Limited seating, limited parking, limit menu, slow service. Not sure what all the fuss is about.

I love this adorable place. The food is incredible. The homemade soups are beyond good. I have never had one that I didn’t like. The ingredients are always very fresh. The regular menu is delicious and the daily specials are always great. The only thing better than eating in, is having the restaurant cater your event. Very reasonable prices and excellent options for all occasions. The chicken salad is outstanding! I highly recommend Caffe Milan for a quick lunch with friends or catering a big party. They are a gem in the community.

I hate to make this review about anything other than food, but it needs to be addressed. Just the other day my brother and I went in to get some coffee instead of just going to Starbucks or something. We wanted to change it up. I ordered an «Herbal Tea» and he ordered a regular«Coffee» because their«coffee machine was broken»? Anyway, what we got were crappy, Frankfort well-water tasting excuses for coffee and tea. I really could not tell if my tea was dispersing through the hot water or if that was the overpowering flavor and color of the well water. Not to mention they were both served in large styrofoam cups, which really added to the terrible experience. We were disappointed and will never go back. However, we have had their food catered on many occasions and will still utilize that service. Get some decent coffee and tea please… or at least serve it in an actual coffee cup?

I have not been here for a while. I am glad I stopped in. I had one of the best soups ever!!! Sauerkraut soup. Thats right, sauerkraut soup. A large helping of kraut with potatoes and other vegis in a meat broth. I also had the meatball sub with extra red sauce. That too was solid. Three moist large meatballs with chunky tomato sauce. With the coming months getting colder and colder, I will be stopping in at Caffe Milan for the soups and sammys.

This is a great café for sandwiches and salads. I’ve tried the catering as well and you can’t pass up the strawberry spinach salad. It’s always a huge hit with everyone. The staff is really nice. There’s a small parking lot in back. The hours can be a bit strange to me. Maybe I just need to learn them. Sometimes when I think they will be open they’re closed.

Never mind the construction on 30, look for it and go there! Food is wonderful and the owner couln’t be more gracious. They hosted a private party for us there and it was great. The location is difficult due to construction, but make the effort!

Awesome homemade fresh food! I have catered sandwiches and strawberry salad from here and it was wonderful. I have tried to duplicate the strawberry spinach salad and it can’t be done. The pretzel bread chicken salad sandwich is delectable.

It’s Christmas morning and you would like to have something tasty yet healthy but of course delicious to serve your family. Oh, and I forgot to mention that you want to be able to enjoy opening the presents and then have this hot scrumptious breakfast ready. Food fantasy? Nope, food reality if you order your egg casserole ahead of time from Caffe Milan. Bring it home Christmas Eve morning, keep in the fridge until the present opening begins. Pop it in the oven and enjoy when the wrapping paper is being stuffed in garbage bags. Christmas morning of your dreams, done! I have also gotten dessert trays, sandwich trays and pies from here and that is before we discuss eating in the café and drinking their amazing coffee. So glad this place has survived and thrived in spite of the construction on Rte 30. You haven’t tried it yet? Well what are you waiting for? You need to get on over here, but hold on, let me come with!

I think another trip to Café Milan is in order, I feel like it’s getting close to a fifth star! Well my wife and I stopped for lunch yesterday. Café Milan was packed, we had to find parking in the back of the place. They also ran out of the pot roast sandwich. Those are sure two good signs of how busy this place has become since my earlier review(just kidding Unilocalers). I ordered the Chili with cheese and sour cream and a side of Fritos. I also had a Tuna Salad sandwich on Pretzel bread and a Mango and Strawberry smoothie. The Tuna sandwich was sooo freshly made it was really yummy! And I would say the same for the Chili, freshly made and very tasty. Of course I loved my smoothie, when don’t I love a good smoothie. Maria ordered the Pasta Fasoili(spelling I know) soup. We both thought it was really good. Maria thought there were too many beans in it though(she is allergic to beans). I just added the beans she didn’t eat to my Chili to make it even better(if that is possible). She also got a Chicken Salad sandwich on Pretzel bread with a side of Zucchini bread and an Ice Tea. My wife thought her Chicken Salad sandwich, that came highly recommended was a bit on the bland side. I would have to agree. But you could tell it was freshly made though. Our total bill was less than $ 30 dollars. The service was super friendly! I still love the older woman who comes in to work for free when she has time in her schedule and is a friend of the owner. She is really the best and sweetest woman. This place is so down to earth. If you still haven’t been to Café Milan on Route 30 in Frankfort, I don’t know what you are waiting for. Get over there now and try this deli style restaurant out and I know you will enjoy it! And probably THANK me over and over.
