Heads Up Irrigation

I called these guys on a referral from a neighbor to come have a look at a leaky main and a bad backflow prevention valve. The tech, Blake, took a couple of minutes to fiddle around with both of them, and then declared, much to my relief, that neither was bad — 2 seasons without service or use had probably just hardened some seals, and once they had a chance to moisten they worked the way they should. A dishonest guy COULD have taken me for a ride — and I was expecting a pretty expensive visit, so I wouldn’t have put up much of a fight. After that we walked around the yard for a half hour just looking at the system and he gave me a lot of tips about how to do simple things myself to troubleshoot common issues — I’ve put the advice to good use. Again, a dishonest guy could have offered to fix alot of things that took about 5 minutes to do myself. Very satisfied — will have them back in the fall to blow it down, and will have them on speed dial in case problems arise.
