Heatwaves Tanning

I’ve been a tanner since high school and I’m not afraid to admit it. I mean, the local public pool has some strange policy about nude sunbathing. Or I think that’s what they said. People were so busy yelling about restraining orders or sex offenders list or something… I dunno, I’m not allowed back there anymore…
But alas! I found Heatwaves Tanning! First let me say — don’t waste your money at LA Tan for God’s sake. This place is way better priced and they do not make you pay a reoccurring monthly membership with 4 hoops and the gate of hell to jump through to cancel it (there is cake at the end of the gate of hell I hear though, so there’s that.) They simply let me pay for however many visits as I choose and when I come in I use them. If I don’t come in for awhile, they are still there waiting for me!
Is it the most posh place? No — that would be 5 stars. But dammit, they have tanning beds and when you get in them, they tan you. They also have big ol’ fans right at the foot of each bed. Sure they might not be high tech — but they push cool air up your back side and you usually have to tip 5 bucks in Tijuana for that.
I’ll tell you what keeps me coming back though, other than the price — is the service. They’re nice there. Every time I come in they are happy and engage in conversation if you are in the mood. Sometimes I’m not in the mood… but I guess when you set a precedence for wanting to talk you’re kind of stuck living up to that…
But also, once when I got there I forgot my credit card. Instead of making me turn back in shame, they allowed me to tan on the promise that I would call back with my credit card number. HA! Suckers! No just kidding… I called back and paid. I mean, to me that is small business service at work. I was very grateful. Besides… it’s not like I ever want to go back to LA Tan… they’re like the equivalent of a Tijuana Spyglass… and trust me… you don’t want to know how much that costs.

My daughter had emergency surgery and had asked for an extention to her month since her doctors told her not to tan for 3 weeks. The owner told her no.
