No service, nothing here. I’m from Arizona, flew out here for a client for a week, but short of cash I had to walk a mile each way from my hotel to the client office(my problem) but for my payday(Friday) I was going to rent a car and have some relief for a day before I drive myself back to the Lexington airport. This Hertz location, however, is a mile in the exact opposite direction; I was not about to walk two miles for a car pick-up, and my colleagues can barely afford enough time to sleep and eat, much less give me a ride(we are systems support for the launch of a very important web site). But I considered myself fortunate to see that this location is listed online as having drop-off/delivery service. So I scheduled it online. And on the hour having not been called, I called them. They were clueless about it, and said they can’t do this, because they only had two staff on hand. I canceled. That night(last night) I decided to give them one more shot, and made a reservation for a normal walk-in. It was showing as having cars available online, same as before. This time I headed out on foot and walked a mile from the hotel. I walked in(nice place btw) and said I need to pick up my car. The lady said, «Okay,. we have no cars. I need to write down your name and phone number…» and at that point my back was already turned as I quietly refrained from cursing and left. I am spending my long walk back typing up this review. Then I’ll call up a cab and hopefully not miss my flight. Get your act together, Hertz. Start by synchronizing your reservation system with your online portal and stop over-booking. And get that drop-off concierge service taken off the portal, if you can’t fulfill it then don’t offer it I now hate Kentucky, beautiful as the land is. Never coming back if I can avoid it.
