All the food is good at Pete Mitchell’s, service is great and nice! Cold beer, lots of tvs for watching sports, and free halftime buffet for bears games! Nice chill spot! Will be back for sure!

Outstanding food! The grilled chicken sandwich is very tasty, and the side of Cole slaw is as good as my own recipe. Staff was extremely attentive and friendly. This place is very clean, very impressive. I’ll return and try other menu items.

Burger was raw after ordering it medium. Stood at the bar for ten minutes and gave up trying to get a beer. The entire staff was more interested in cleaning and hour and a half before they close, than serving paying customers. When I did finally get a bartender to ask me what are you doing tonight I needed.(With an attitude) they proceeded to talk to their friends for 10 minutes before getting me the 1 bottle of beer I asked for. Will not be coming back here as this is not the first time the service has been like this.

Amazing employees, I’ve never had a bad experience going here. Just wish they would keep the grill going later. They usually stop cooking around 830ish. The food there though is amazing. If it’s still the same chef he use to work at chef Claus on Lagrange.

Decent little neighborhood bar. It’s a good place to have a few drinks and relax. It’s not very big, but thats okay because I’ve never seen it real packed. They also have a nice little patio. We’ve gotten usual bar food a few times, and that’s always been good. I know they’ve had events in the past such as Pinnacle Vodka tasting, White Sox game parties where a bus will pick you up from there to go to the game, and trivia nights.

A great neighborhood bar. Good food & good specials on food and drinks. the family(Giordano’s) who owns it are very friendly and always accommodating. We love to hang there to watch the games or just meet friends up there.

Went in for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. Place wasn’t really crowded but I was greeted by Dee and she was genuinely nice. Real big smile and very inviting. She recommended the Bacon Cheeseburger with fries and it was great. Reminded me of a homemade burger, really tasty with a really nice side of fries. For one the fries were both hot and plentiful(a lot of restaurants dole out fries like they’re made of gold, not here). I’d eaten at Pete Mitchell’s before and they’re always pretty steady as far as quality of the food. I’ll return!!!

Our family has been to Pete Mitchell’s 3 times over the last couple of weeks. The first time was for a football party and we had a great time. They have added many craft beers to the list. I tried the wings and the nachos. Both were solid. The place was packed and the service was very good. The next time I went here with my daughter to have lunch. I had the philly cheesestake with tots. I also had the asparagus soup. Again – all the food was really good. The food comes out on a plate not a basket. The last time I had the grilled chicken wrap and it was very good. Service was good all three times. Pete Mitchell’s is a bar so it gets a little loud.

I have been here three times and live about 0.5 miles from it. Never been impressed with the menu or bar offerings. I recall one of our visits, we had to basically just order from the bartender because our«waitress» was wandering around after we said we weren’t eating. I dunno. I was excited to see a neighborhood place to get a drink come to the Square, but I will not be back-go to Ryan’s and hang with the bikers.

I’ve never been a fan of this bar. The beer selection sucks big time. I just can’t overlook that. When I go to a bar it’s to drink. I’m far from 21 so shock top can’t be the most«interesting» beer you carry. I’ve never tried the food. Mostly because the whole place has a strange sewer smell that gets to me after a while. The staff is friendly. They are the only real positive here for me though.

I’ve lived in this area for over 30 years and wanted a community place. Now it’s here! food is good, service is slow at times, but slow down and enjoy people.

This is one of those places that is just a great local place. We’d been wanting to try it for awhile and finally did. This place is casual, great food and has friendly, attentive staff. Everything you need is on the table, including plastic knives, forks, napkins and packets of «extra’s»(i.e. besides ketchup, etc)…like mayo which thrilled me because I use more mayo than anyone ever puts on anything. The food was really good. I had a burger and fries(yummy waffle fries) and hubby had a steak sandwich that he said was the tenderest piece of meat he’s ever had on a steak sandwich. It’s a bit of a noisy place but not so much that you can’t hear anyone at your table(i.e why we never go to Texas Roadhouse). As far as taking kids, I don’t see why you couldn’t. I didn’t see/hear any behavior that would keep me from taking even our toddler. Even at 8pm with no kids in sight I didn’t hear anyone cursing or being rowdy even though the age group at the bar was diverse. We definitely plan to go back there again.

I came here with my Husband for a going away party for his cousins Rocky & Geri. The ENTIRE staff was collectively courteous, accommodating to our rather large group(kids included), friendly, and efficient. The food was quite good — darn good Italian Beefs & Buffalo Wings. Great bar service. Not sure we’d come again(we live on the north side of Chicago), but I was pleasantly surprised and spent an enjoyable evening here.

I don’t understand all the great reviews. The bar closes at 1a on a Saturday?! And nevermind the rude staff. Don’t sit at a table and expect a waitress to actually serve you. You will see her once for the order and again over an hour later. Worst suburb bar. EWill never go there again.

We nicknamed this place Mason Jars. Its a special drink they offer there in a huge mason jar with 5 shots in each drink with a few different flavors to choose from and they are insanely good! Staff is friendly.

I stopped into Pete Mitchell’s on a Wednesday afternoon to drink massive amounts of diet coke and grade papers. It may be strange behavior to grade papers in a bar, but I wanted snack on something too, so I wasn’t in the mood for Starbucks. There were a few regulars there, chatting and watching some MLB playoff game that I didn’t care about. The music was a fun mix of dance music(lotsa Lady Gaga, gotta love Gaga) and the occasional annoying country song. I got the feeling that I was the first person to ever grade papers there(at least, the first one to do it for two hours) but the bartenders were very nice to me all the same. One left and a new one came on while I was there. I would have liked a little«Susie’s going home, I’m Marla* and I’ll be taking care of you. Can I refill your soda?» but they said nothing during the switch. Maybe that’s just me being nitpicky after working for years at a chain restaurant that would have never allowed such a thing. Oh, well, no biggie. I ordered a wrap off their $ 4.99 lunch menu, and it was delish. The menu said all specials were served with choice of fries or soup, and I was all set to order the soup but the bartender didn’t ask which I wanted, so I decided to be happy with whatever I got(Read: I wanted an excuse to eat fries). I was surprised that my wrap came not with fries or soup but with chips and salsa. This was fine with me, though, because the chips were those taco chips with all that seasoning on them. Still, the menu should be accurate or the servers should inform the customer if there are exceptions to the sides. The wrap was worth it, though– it was a chicken fajita wrap that had lots of flavor but no heat. All in all, I’d like to come back to Pete Mitchell’s and try some other food(it all sounded good), maybe when I can have a drink because they seem to have some good specials(Wednesday it was $ 1.50 Miller bottles and $ 3.00 Long Islands). *I am making these names up. I do not know the names of the bartenders who took care of me that day.
