I went in for the 1^st time today, & Jim was very helpful! He had me do a foot analysis before fitting me for shoes-sooo important for good running shoes & the 1^st time anyone’s ever offered that to me! He hand-picked 3 different pairs/brands, that I never would have considered, if it weren’t for his expertise. Im truly thankful that this place is here in my lil’ town of Frankfort & I wish their business the very best of luck! They’re one of a kind, a true treasure.

I’ve got nothing but love for this place. Went here to find some running shoes for my husband. We were greeted immediately and the sales person got down to business. First she checked my husband’s gait and shoe size. Turns out he’s been wearing shoes nearly two sizes too small. He’s got big feet (15) so we were a bit concerned that inventory would be limited, but she was able to find him a perfect pair right away. I can’t wait to come back and get myself some new shoes. Also loved the kids table with the legos which allowed my husband to focus on shopping while our son was entertained.

After first hearing about Running Excels on my own (maybe local paper); and then hearing more unsolicited praise from two family members — I stopped at Running Excels a week ago; and I was determined to buy my first ever pair of quality shoes. I was ready for a long morning because there were MANY choices to be made. When I told Jim this was my biggest problem — decision making, he took over and helped come up with the right shoe. My feet were measured, I did the treadmill thing, tried on several pairs of shoes, walked around and left in record time with a pair of shoes that, a week later, are still comfortable! Bought some pretty amazingly comfortable socks, too. I love that this store is in a small town like Frankfort and I think the fact that it is physically right along the walking trail is perfect! They also have a rewards program, and sell SO much more than just shoes… if you are into taking care of yourself — check them out!

Bought two pairs of running shoes yesterday. Great service and assistance from the staff A good selection and other miscellaneous related items.
I live and work in Frankfort. Glad to have Running Excels as on of our local businesses. Now back to the marathon training.
