This is a great public Wildlife Management Area that is just a little over an hour’s drive from Lexington. They allow guns in this WMA (not all do). We have been dove hunting here a few times. The dove fields are fairly popular and so it’s often hard to find a parking spot let alone an open spot in the field. No motorized vehicles are allowed past the gate so prepare for a bit of a walk. Also, there are no restroom facilities or water fountains here so plan ahead!
