Worst service ever, takes forever to deliver and change delivery dates constantly you will wait for weeks for delivery. I can’t believe it exists I thought DHL was gone

Van #638 910 (step-​van, white with red DHL logo and Franklin Park designation) was at the intersection of Higgins Road and Mannheim Road at about 5:10 pm on Friday, November 20^th. The driver disagreed with the pace of traffic and made that known by pulling the air horn for an extended period of time, laying on the steering wheel horn, and shouting with the driver’s side window open. The vehicle was eastbound in the left lane of traffic about 10 cars from the intersection when I became aware of the spectacle. I was in the right lane about one car-​length ahead of him.
When I got to the intersection, I was the lead vehicle at the light and I realized that the driver was immediately behind me. When the light changed to green, I didn’t accelerate quickly enough for him and he repeated the double horn activity. Completing the turn onto southbound Mannheim, I was in the left lane and the driver was in the right lane. He was still engaging one of the horns as he leaned out the open window screaming profanities at me. I reached the speed limit as he accelerated past me, obviously speeding. Our vehicles came abreast of each other again due to the flow of traffic and the driver flicked a lit cigarette at my vehicle. He then accelerated, again exceeding the speed limit, past me as I pulled into the left turn lane at Lawrence. I could still see the truck weaving between vehicles in the three available lanes as i waited to make my turn.

If I was able to give them 0 stars, I will! I’m so livid that this company had a nerve to let someone sign for my package that DOES NOT STAY IN MY HOUSEHOLD! Now this is money I spent on something and I’m pissed that the driver just didn’t take it back and try again to delivery next day. Who does that? The person didn’t even have the same last name as me not even close to anyone in my household. Now I have to hope that the people my package came from will resend it to me. Opened a claim and still haven’t heard anything back from these bastards. I have no problem with USPS or UPS. They make sure I’m the one receiving my own packages or someone I authorize in my household. Loads of crap that I have to see if the seller will resend a package because of a stupid mistake on this company behalf. I will not be using this service again.

1 star is WAY too generous for this piece of crap company. I have now taken TWO days off of work to be home so I could receive my package. The first time, I get a notification saying address was wrong. They won’t attempt delivery until the following Monday. I didn’t trust them so I drove an HOUR to go get it on Monday. What do you know, the address was listed perfectly on the package from the sender. What’s the issue, DHL?!
Second delivery was scheduled for today. I get a notification saying that recipient was not home. I’ve been home ALL DAY and there was no knock on my door. I called DHL minutes after the notification went out asking them to turn around and deliver since I’ve now taken two PTO days from work. I explain to them my situation which is that it’s my wedding dress and I have an alteration appointment tomorrow (Saturday). My wedding is in two weeks and I found a tailor to do a rush job on my dress. DHL does not care and won’t attempt delivery till Monday. Thank you very much, I will not have a dress that fits me for my wedding.
UPS, FedEx, USPS all have NO problem delivering to me multiple times a month, none. They have proven again and again that they cannot perform their job of delivering and that they don’t care at all for their customers (even in urgent situations). I couldn’t even get on the phone with the manager. It doesn’t appear that I am alone in this as your rating is an average of 1.5 stars here and 1.9 on google (don’t worry I will be reviewing there as well), absolutely pathetic. Thank you for ruining my day (again) and my wedding because your employees could not do their only task and then your management would not ask him to turn around when he was down the street. Both experiences with your «company» has left me in tears and no packages. BRAVO!

Worst service ever. I left my job one day to wait for the DHL guy to come but he never did and around 7 pm I checked online and the package was ‘delivery attempt’. I am sure that nobody rang my bell all day and no notice was left on the door that he came.
So I had to be off another day at my work to go and pick up my package 50 mins away.
I would not recommend DHL and for sure I will not choose it anymore.
The only good thing was that the package came really fast, for almost two days from Eastern Europe.
My USPS mail man is the best. He always comes on time and notifies me for everything.

Horrible Horrible Horrible…
Usually I get my mail late morning/​early afternoon. So when my mail came and I didnt see my package, I immediately went online to track it. I saw that it was with the courier at 10:32am so I didnt panic. I just waited. Three and four in the afternoon went by and I decided to see what was going on and called customer service. I was told that I would recieve the package before eight in the evening. so I waited And waited and 7:45 came and went and I called back and was told that the courier was delayed due to the weather but to expect my package tonight and if I couldn’t wait any longer to leave a note. and then I asked if the courier would just go back to franklin park and leave my package to deliver the next day and he said that he sees that the driver is still enroute and that I can sign up for the message alerts and thats all he can suggest. it is after eight and I still dont have my package… its 8:30 and I still dont have my package!

Unbelievable.
I have never experienced such horrible service from an «express» carrier.
I shipped something from London express last week. It only took 2 days to arrive in the country. I noticed my shipment was on hold, so I immediately paid the customs charge. According to the notification, I would receive the shipment on the next business day after payment of the customs charge.
The next business day comes and goes and so I call the next evening. I’m told that my payment did not reflect on their system (whatever that means), and was told they emailed the service center to inform them about the payment. Another day goes by — no package. I call on Monday — told that my package will be delivered the next business day. The rep actually promised it will be delivered. What do you think happened? Did not arrive.
I call Tuesday. At this point, I lose my calm demeanor and demand to speak to the supervisor. She informs me that «unfailingly my package would be delivered on Wednesday.» She gives me her contact informatioin so I was actually inclined to believe her. On Wednesday, I actually see that there was some movement on the package and that it was with the delivery courier. But guess what? It wasn’t delivered. It’s almost a joke at this point.
I call on Thursday, A FULL WEEK AFTER THE PACKAGE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE DELIVERED, and I speak to the supervisor. She tells me that they are investigating what is going on at the Franklin center. My package has now received «special attention»
As I am writing this, my package is still missing. I cannot believe this is how DHL operates in 2015.
How can you not know WHY a package has not been delivered for a week?
How can you not know when a customs payment has been made?
How can you fail to fully comprehend how utterly horrible your service is?
I NEVER use DHL, and it’s just unfortunate that my package was shipped directly from a store using DHL.
Please, please save your money, time and headache and use either FEDEX or UPS.
This long review was actually very cathartic for me.

This DHL location is unique in its policies and atrociousness.
They require that you show them ID. They will also inspect any packages before acceptance, even sealed boxes. These two policies are tolerable.
However, if you have a product box inside, their policies require that the product box be opened to ensure its contents. As someone who sells new products to international buyers, I cannot have my recipients receive packages that are no longer sealed/​new.

I went to DHL today, and went to the location on Seymour ave. which is near O’Hare airport. The receptionist was pretty rude and told me I was in the wrong department and was to go to DHL express to pick up my parcel. Ok its not everyday I come to this labyrinth of roads to this location to pick up a parcel… no reason to get your frustrations out on me. So I found the correct pickup location on waveland ave. There I nicely followed the instructions on the wall and rang the bell once and waited… and waited… some employees walked by… and waited. I finally got greeted rudely by an employee who gave my parcel. Thanks for nothing DHL… Even USPS has some dignity left in them.

Pathetic pathetic pathetic,.,…pathetic is the word. their service is nothing but horrible. a COMPLETE nightmare… shud NEVER go for this service unless nd until u don’t care about the package or if you are planning to take a revenge on someone… we received a package from abroad and this delivery guy left a notice first day… dint know how that happened as we were home all day… this is an apartment community so probably they dint care to buzz us and left the notice on the door… from there onwards it was a complete mayhem… we first requested us to be called from extension downstairs and later it to be delivered to the leasing office next day. but every time status got updated online as recipient not at home. though we were home Whole day. delivery guy dint leave a door notice and even after those all requests they just wrongly updated the info online. finally after 3 days they said — unable to deliver. so I had to cut down my work hours and drive 20 miles to pick it up. only location available .WOW …once there, I explained the problem to supervisor, he completely went into denial mode on operational failure… he said those things do happen time to time. but looks like it happens all the time with this service. change the delivery guy And your customer ethics… I talked to at least 10 of my friends who decided never to choose this DISGUSTING service. worst on this planet. never going with them again.
