Safe-​Guard Waterproofing, two thumbs up!!! They saved our basement, there was water coming in from the pit and solved all our problems fast. Fast, courteous service and getting the job done right the first time is hard to find — not here. John and his team (Raul) did a great job — highly recommend!

sexual harrasment. disgusting. unprofessional. and their bid was practically double that of their competitors. bob visited my property and offered to «kidnap me and chain me to a wall.» i wanted my foundation fixed. instead bob was offering services i had no interest in. vile. disgusting. completely unprofessional. avoid this company at all costs.

I recently had Safeguard out to put in a drain tile in my crawlspace and encapsulate it and they did a great job. They were clean, friendly, and got the job done in two days.

I used Safeguard to find and repair a water leak in my basement. They misdiagnosed the problerm. It cost me $ 1600+ to replace a french drain that did not need to be replaced. At the first rain, the same leak was there. They came back and said the cause was a leak in the wall. They repaired that for another $ 1000+ but left the wall totally exposed. When I asked them why they left it that way, they said they do not do that kind work. bad service. dont recommend them.

I have used Safeguard Waterproofing Ramjack for several projects in the past and always had a satisfactory if not pleasant experience with this company. My most recent experience however has been horrible resulting in financial loss to me, with the technician walking off the job without completing work.
I contracted with Dan the sales rep for Safeguard to install Clean Shield in the basement utility room to my rental building the job consisted of 26 lineal feet of Clean Shield being installed against the outer wall behind my water heaters, Dan gave me a good price based on past work we had done on the building. Since I had worked with this company in the past instead of only paying the deposit I paid for the job in full prior to work being done.
On the date of service as agreed, I had my plumber arrive at 7:00 am to remove 4 water heaters to give the technician access to the wall. At 8:00 Fernando the Safeguard technician arrived on seeing the job he stated that the price contracted for was too low but he would see. Fernando opened a section of the floor to locate my interior drain tile and discovered where it was located. Work stopped while he called the office and he then informed me that he was instructed to stop work until the Sales rep came out.
Dan arrived about an hour later took a look at the floor said that the drain tile was further from the foundation that he thought but he didn’t see much of problem and that maybe Fernando was stressed because the office had sent him on a large job by himself. Dan called back the scheduler Bob who said the minimum price for Clean Shield was over double the price quoted and that they were going to pull off the job. I spoke with Dan and agreed that I would pay a bit more due to unforeseen conditions just to get the work done. Dan said that he thought that the drain tile was a bit further from the wall than he expected, but he was surprised because they had done this work on another area of my building and no one informed him of this issue.
Dan left and work began again but about 30 minutes later Fernando received a call from the office informing him to pull off the job and close up the work done. Dan the sales rep returned saying that they were going to close up and he would be in touch. I made Dan aware that I would be out $ 400.00 for the removal and replacement of the water heaters and Safeguard would have to reimburse me for my loss. Fernando patched the hole in my floor cleaned up and got ready to leave. While he removed his tools I asked how thick a concrete patch was used to repair my floor, Fernando informed me about an inch.
So not only was the work not done as agreed I was also shaken down for more money. I am out $ 400.00 for my plumber and my 4 inch concrete floor reinforced with a wire mesh was replaced with a 1 inch patch.
After almost 2 weeks of contacting this company Dan finally called to reschedule the work he wants to charge me for the original contract amount plus additional for unseen conditions and I would have to pay to have my water heaters removed again.

Called for estimate, to fix one simple crack in basement foundation it took them two weeks to come out. On the phone Warren talked real sweet, and smooth, said it wouldn‘t cost too much. Than he came by, and couldn‘t leave a Estimate said he had to talk to his engineers first, and than he would call me. Two days later he called still no price for job, and he said his engineers said they need to tear down inside walls. I said what for, as I had asked them to dig outside and fix crack from outside. He than told me a story about they did not know what was behind walls, I told him I had the building for 45 years and described exactly what was there to him. He still said we need to take down inside walls. Also he tried to tell me my foundation was eight feet deep, WOW NEWS TO ME, it is approx. 48 inches deep tops. This company is a roper for sub contractors. They string you along, and they wish to damage your building enough that you will need a big huge fix up to get the job done, Unilocal Unilocal! They try to turn a mole hill into a mountain. They are slicker than a country goose. Don‘t waste your time, they get jobs than turn them over to poor immigrants to do the work, as they seep coffee behind there desks sitting on there Royal Thrones. Waiting for the next sucker to call!

I had my basement flood twice this winter. It’s amazing how much water can come in through a small crack in the foundation. Although the first waterproofing company came the next day, it took them two days and copious amounts of polyurethane to stop the water. The saw a second exterior crack, but said it was too cold and would have to wait. Sure enough, just after we finished replacing the carpet, padding, etc. guess where more water came in. I called the main players, perma seal, us waterproofing and a local guy. One thing I learned is you have to have patience. It takes forever to get them to your house, and longer to schedule a repair. I finally found a great company, safeguard waterproofing. They kept their appointments, on time, cared for my house and property and did exactly what it took to seal the cracks. In fact, the local guy, who wanted to make sure the right steps were done, replied, no company takes all the steps to seal an exterior crack. Guess what. Safeguard does and did, exactly as shown on their web site. I hope I don’t need them again, but they will be my first and last call.

We had this company fix a crack in our foundation and replace a pipe that drains the downspout away from the house. They quoted a fair price that came in under the other quotes we received. Their salesmen and workers were very professional and courteous. The work was done when they said it would be and the work was performed efficiently. The worker recommended that a debris filter be installed between the downspout and the drain pipe to keep debris out of the drain pipe. He assured me that the filter would catch all the water and deflect very little of it.
After checking the work during the rains over the next few weeks I observed the filter deflecting a significant amount of water back onto the grass around the foundation that we were trying to keep water away from. A call to the company produced an assurance that next time someone was in the area that they would stop by and replace the filter with a straight pipe. That was six weeks ago. I called again today to see when they would be addressing the issue and spoke to Karen who now tells me they’re going to charge me to make the change because I chose the filter option. I explained this was based on the expert assurances of the installer but she continued to refuse to correct the problem. This is too bad because I was going to ask them to quote another job when they were at my house. I just pray nothing goes wrong with the foundation crack fix some day because they clearly cannot be trusted to stand behind their work. Based on this experience I cannot recommend them.
Update 10/​31/​2013: After I agreed to take down my negative review on a different site, this company came out and fixed the problem to my satisfaction. In all fairness, I stand by my assertion that they did good work for a fair price, however they failed to follow through with good customer service. I have changed my rating from 2 stars to three. Caveat emptor.

In July 2011, I paid Safe Guard/​Ram Jack Waterproofing Company (President, John Walsh) over $ 11,000 to come to my home and install a system they assured me would prevent flooding in my basement. Around 6 months later I find a small amount of water around the sump pump they installed and I call the company. They sent some employees out who said that the pump was bad and they replaced it. I called the company and talked to the president who said that they «didn’t make the pumps» they just bought them. But I say — don’t you think for an $ 11,000. system, you would expect a better pump than that??? Well it’s taken care — don’t worry.

So in April 2013 (less than 2 yrs after the new system was installed) we wake up at 5:00 a.m. to find water pouring in our basement and the pump not working. We call; get the answering service that «will pass the message along». So at 8:00 we get a call that they will get there as soon as they can — mean while water is still pouring in. At 12:30 they show up — we have 2 ft. of water and they spend the afternoon trying to drain the water and figure out what went wrong. They won’t clean up the horrible mess we have or pay for all the damaged items but they will put in another crappy sump pump. The lifetime warranty just means they will continue to drain and put in bad pumps. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Great service all around, Bob came out to give our condo association an estimate very professional and to the point.
After many estimates we decided to go with safe guard, great prices, awesome work, and the work performance was phenomenal. Fernando was prompt professional and kept me up to date while I was at work. Thank you safe guard for making this a hassle free experience.
