In terms of italian ice and custard, this place is like any other Rita’s, and what I mean by that is that all the flavors are great (I personally like the swedish fish or mango) and the custard is definitely a treat (and it’s also what sets it apart from Ralph’s or Pesso’s). However, what makes this place a 5-​star location is the staff, they’re super friendly and helpful. They let you take your time and won’t give you an attitude for trying a bunch of their flavors.
If it’s your first time going, I recommend getting the italian ice of your choice, topped off with vanilla custard. The only person I’ve ever seen not enjoy the custard was one friend, who did the most blasphemous thing of actually dumping out the custard in the garbage. Needless to say, a bit of our friendship died that day.
tl;dr: If you enjoy italian ice and custard, with a side of friendly service, this is definitely the place to go.

I Love this place! They always have friendly staff and they have such great flavors!
I keep getting coconut ice with orange custard when they have it and it tastes delicious! Try as many combinations as you possibly can!

The Good: Great customer service — my friends and I went a little overboard with sampling the flavors, but the girl serving us didn’t mind at all and even recommended trying other flavors.

After a long day at the beach Rita’s was the perfect treat to cool me off. I got the cherry ice topped with light vanilla custard and my friend got the mango. Both were delicious. The cherry & vanilla complemented each other very well and the ice was the perfect texture. I also tried the peach, which was too sweet for my taste, but still very good.
Coming from queens, a.k.a. the home of the lemon ice king, I’d say Rita’s can definitely stand its ground if there were ever a freeze off. Ha ha :)

I never knew there was a Rita’s so close to my house. There’s a municipal parking lot right across the street so that’s a huge plus.
Tried the light vanilla custard instead the original… stick with the original!

Had the gelati today. The vanilla custard on top is great. I had the mango ice in the cup. The ice did not taste like mango. Nevertheless, it was very good. They have sugar-​free options and they are also kosher.
They are opened late! I went in at 10 p.m.
