Wish I could give 0 starts, owner very rude and was scared by his dog or wolf he keeps.

Had 2 watches repaired there. New batteries and settings. All went well and quick. Can’t complain. It’s an outdated old store but it’s local and a mom/pop. For quick watch repair I’m in.

I went the the store on Monday, November 17, 2014 to have my engagement ring repaired. The back of the setting was bent, cracked in the middle. The owner, Lance, told me $ 59.95 for the repairs to the ring so that it would look as good as new. I was honestly thrilled to find a local business that would repair my jewelry, and the price made it seem all the sweeter. Lance told me the ring would be ready the day after thanksgiving, so when I received a call from him on Friday November 21, 2014, I was pleasantly surprised. When I went by at 5 pm after work to pick up the ring, I was excited to see how great it was going to look all cleaned up and repaired. That is when things went sideways. The ring was clean and sparkly and the back was repaired and polished as promised, but there is also a curvature/bend/wave in the back of the ring. I saw this and asked Lance about the work and why it was like that and he immediately took offense and started yelling that I was trying to cheat him out of his money and screaming that I needed to pay him and get out of his shop immediately. He continued to scream that I was a terrible person and that everyone knew that I was a cheat, keep in mind that I have only met him this week for a total of about 20 minutes including our encounter today. He told me to give him back my ring and he was going to crack the back of it because if I didn’t like his work, I could bring it somewhere else. I began crying at this point because I felt that my ring was not completely fixed the way that I was led to believe and now he wanted to damage it. I told him NO! that he was not touching my ring again and that I would pay. The entire time he is screaming at me and his giant German Shepard, Mozel, is barking and trying to jump over the counter. I felt threatened and unsafe alone in the shop. I paid and left. I would recommend that if you go to this shop, you document what your items look like before you go, that you get clear written instructions as to what the owner plans to do to your piece and that you scrutinize the details closely, and maybe you don’t go alone if you are not comfortable with the owner yelling in your face and threatening you. The whole time I kept asking why I was being yelled at, but I never got a straight answer, I wanted the job done completely and offered to pay more and he said he didn’t want anything to do with me. I let myself out and, as I left he continued to harass me. I had finally had enough as he continued to yell at me through the glass of the front window of the store and I turned and gave him my middle finger. I was seriously shaking from what had just transpired and was desperately trying to regain some form of control of my situation. Honestly, this review would probably be mediocre, maybe 2 stars, but the blatant badgering and treatment I received made me want to rate this place a 0, but the lowest Unilocal will allow is a 1.
