Unfortunately, I didn’t read the reviews for this hotel before booking. This hotel is in a cluster-hotel complex, with similar places like La Quinta and Baymont Inns & Suites. We only needed one night, thank goodness. On previous occasions, I had good experiences with the other hotels, so I assumed this one would be on the same level of comfort and cleanliness. Boy, was that a bad assumption. The only really good thing about our visit was the check-in staffer, who was very professional, friendly and helpful. The Lobby is almost non-existent; though, it was clean. Everything looked nice until, after we got our keys, we turned the corner to enter the hallway on the way to our 1st-floor room. Just out of sight of patrons in the lobby was a huge piece of blue duct tape attempting to hold together the well-worn, brown/tan carpet of the hallway. After taking a few more steps, we noticed that the wallpaper had cracked, was peeling and was falling off the wall in numerous locations. At this point, ominous feelings of dread, about the condition of the hotel room, began to overtake me. Even though it didn’t have the requisite refrigerator and microwave that an «Inn and Suite» room is supposed to have, surprisingly, the room was not that bad. Mostly, it was just old and worn; but, the shower curtain, faucet and head were all nice and new. Dusty corners in the room made me wonder if the housecleaning staff actually use vacuum cleaners or if they just don’t use the attachments to get dust out of the corners. I know they have a housecleaning staff because they were screaming outside my door at 7:45A as they started their work day. Although, I seems as if management has tried to make certain aspects of the room better; the entire place just really needs a complete renovation. I get the feeling that corporate headquarters(Whichever hotel chain owns American’s Best…) is not interested in this particular location. Maybe this location in Franklin does not generate as much profit as they’d like. Who knows the issue??? There is really no excuse for a hotel to be in such disrepair and dusty condition.
One night was enough. I doubt I will return.

This was the dirtiest hotel that I have ever stepped foot into. When we got to our room my sister turned down her bed just to notice that there were dirty sheets on the bed. Then she started looking further and found bed bugs! We went downstairs immediately and asked for our money back. The front desk clerk didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience, and quite frankly didn’t seem all that shocked by it. If you can avoid it, do NOT stay at this hotel!

Quite possibly the worse hotel I’ve stayed in, certainly in a long time. Electrical outlets uncovered, trash from previous guests, and things left in fridge. Stayed here pre-booked with a travel team… definitely on the«do not return» list.
