Bargain Basement

My wife and I had a really great experience at Bargain Basement. We moved across the country and needed a standing AC unit as our new home has non-​traditional windows. The owner, John, was really friendly and helpful.
We got a great deal on the AC and it was in like-​new condition; some of the manufacturer’s tape on the sides of the unit was still there! We’ll definitely be coming back here any time I need an appliance.

This store is a local treasure. Always has new products and priced right. Why would anyone buy a brand new appliance when you can get one with a scratch or bump for half the price.
Also the store has a variety of plumbing and electrical parts and accessories, as well as a wonderful line of cabinets/​countertops. I did my kitchen with soft-​close wood cabinets for a fraction of the price and lead-​time compared to big corporations.
Not to mention the experience. It is so much better to have someone like this owner to call on the phone and get real answers right away rather than dealing with a big third party like HD. The staff at BB is so helpful and kind. They go out of their way to help and find solutions for hardware on used appliances. I returned two microwaves due to no fault of the store (the hardware was not jiving with our install on the wall. The owner took care of us with alacrity and was so apologetic though it wasn’t his fault! and helped us get it right and now we LOVE our new (used) shiny white microwave! and hangs on the wall no problem.

I am real estate agent who found a gem of a place! Awesome place. I work with a lot of people who either need to get rid of appliances or they need to buy appliances but can’t afford to buy new. Highly recommend John at Bargain Basement. He even gives you a six month warranty on his used appliances.

This is a Great place to find new, used, or scratch n dent bargains that are thoroughly checked and come with a warranty. This store beats all in variety and price. The store carries normal and high end and unusual appliances. really great deals on vanities, tops and ultra high end faucets. looking for a great deal stop here!!! I forgot to add that the owner will go out of his way to find you something that you need so just be sure to ask.

GREAT PLACE! My husband and I just bought a home in Newton, NJ. Being not from the area, we didn’t know where to get appliances on the low budget style. With all the expenses we have going on we didn’t want to spend $ 7,000 in new appliances YIKES! (price given by SEARS). At Bargain Basement we ended up getting all our appliances (washer, dryer, microwave, fridge and dishwasher) for $ 1,700!!! YES! You are reading right. $ 1,700! Unbelievable!!! John, the owner who was technically off that day, happened to stop by and gave us more than 1 hour free consultation on what materials to use in our kitchen and design ideas. He is going to stop by our new home to give us an estimate. He is also a designer and a contractor!!! It cannot get better than that.
