This ADORABLE café is located at O’More College of Design. It opened about 3 years ago, much to the relief of students and faculty who were weary of bringing food to campus every day or having to go off campus to get it. The tea room is run by the wonderfully vivacious Marianna and student workers. The walls used to be a beautiful magnolia green color, but they redid the room this past year and made the walls a taupe-y oatmeal color. I liked the green better personally, but oh well. This room is used on certain days of the month for meetings and for the local Franklin ‘Art Crawl’. The food here ranges from fruit cups, to sandwiches(grilled or cold), soups(they change every day, but they’re all awesome, my favorite being the chicken tortilla soup), breakfast until 10 or so in the morning, to cupcakes, and to more snack-like items(M&M’s and Nutrigrain bars). They have a fridge full of drinks like Gatorade, Dr. Pepper, Water, Vitamin Water, and cold Starbucks drinks. They also make some of the best darn sweet tea in the WORLD(free refills). Marianna also makes a mean vanilla latte(from what I’ve heard) and they have seeeeeveral different kinds of tea. If you use a card, you have to spend at least $ 5.
