While the clothing is fine(a pretty typical boutique) at least one of the staff members needs a serious attitude adjustment. My husband and I attended the«Wine on Main» event last night and had VIP tickets. Emmaline’s was the VIP home base where they had hors d’oeuvres and a bar. There were problems with this in and of itself, but I digress. It is my impression that at least one function of these events is to encourage patrons to purchase or at least take an interest in the store merchandise. I approached the counter to inquire about some tights in the window that I wanted to buy, and had an interest in some other things. Some pretentious(and clearly wine-buzzed) bearded guy behind it treated me more like it was his party and I had approached him for a favor. He smirked and waved me off to a bleached blonde woman who clearly thought I was disturbing her fun as well. When I told her I was interested in the tights, her tone was patronizing and clipped, «We don’t sell those.» Crickets. No explanation, no «sorry,» no «yeah, aren’t they cute? I wish we sold them.» Nothing. She just looked at me with an annoyed look on her face. I was confused, not sure whether she meant they literally did not sell them because they were the last pair(?), or they weren’t theirs to sell, or what. «Where do you get them?» I asked. «Nordstrom’s» she answered with a superior air and paused, «Yeah.» This was the last thing she said to me. I walked away with my new knowledge that I would NEVER buy anything from Emmaline’s. Apparently they don’t need to sell anything anyway because the staff seem to think it is a annoyance. I’m not sure if the bearded guy worked there, but the blonde most certainly did, and at minimum, he was the friend/boyfriend of staff members. I was at least glad to know the blonde was not the owner because I looked her up. The woman I spoke to «models» a couple of pieces of clothing on the website. For her sake, I certainly hope her looks hold up because if she has to make a living on her personality, she might starve.

Évaluation du lieu : 3 Nashville, TN
I always walk through Emmaline when I visit the Franklin square, but rarely do I buy anything. They have very nice clothes and accessories, just on the really pricey side for what they offer. I feel like I can find the same brands in Nashville at several boutiques for less. Not a ton less, but still. It’s a roomy store, and very pretty, which is one reason I like to walk through. Also, Emmaline does have a few things on sale here and there. I’ve actually purchased a pair of designer jeans that were marked down considerably, due to overstock. I also feel that the merchandise here is for a different shopper – the well-dressed, upscale trendy mom. Which I am not. A mom, anyway. I like to think I’m well-dressed and trendy at least! That’s the best way I can think to describe Emmaline. See for yourself though – it’s worth a walk-through at least, and you may love it!
