I’ve been playing this course for several years. For general condition, location, and value, it’s hard to beat with all the deals they offer. A bunch of good guys in the pro shop, friendly staff, and on-course volunteers make FC a good experience.

Warning: this course is serious and not for the leisurely golfer or those that get nervous when someone is watching. It was packed. Almost everyone we saw was really good, they pair you up in groups of 4, and they definitely keep you moving. I am not a good golfer(I don’t even have golf shoes). I didn’t feel shunned at all, but I chose to pick up my ball on several holes to keep from holding the group up(no loss to me — I’d already hit beyond par by then) It was a great experience. Beautiful course with a variety of holes. Friendly staff. Well organized. We found a deal online which included 18 holes, range balls, and a combo meal for $ 29.99 on off hours — made it a great deal

I’ve had 3 negative experiences here now. And the most recent one is enough to wake me from a 3 year Unilocal hibernation. Golfers, yield my warnings… If I could give zero stars, I would. The course itself is well maintained. That being said, the people who run the place are horrible. The entire time you will be rushed. Even if you are playing at a good pace. They are so concerned with this it ruined the entire experience. Don’t even try to use the restroom at the turn. You will be told that you need to hurry. I can’t tell you how many times we were told to hurry along. As we were walking out for the back 9 the guy told us it would be quicker to just pick up any putts close to the hole instead of putting them. Are you kidding me??! This isn’t Augusta. This is Franklin, TN. I’m not Jordan Speith, but I sure like playing golf. Just never again at this course.

Great lunch specials during the week. They are painting and laying new sod at the time of this post. The course is in good shape. Seniors can play a round of golf, get a bucket of range balls, and lunch for $ 27.50.

I play at Forrest Crossing from time to time when I make it down to Franklin. This is a nice course at a good value. The greens are in poor shape currently, but the overall value is good. I will be playing here again.

Spent the day here and it was a wonderful experience. The staff was so very nice, the course is beautiful and so very peaceful. A great crowd there as well which means they are definitely doing something right. Jeremiah and Neal, you guys are great!

For an every week local course — Forrest Crossing is a solid track with plenty of challenging holes and a few great finishing holes(assuming they start you on #1). Seriously, 16, 17, and 18 are all you can handle for an exciting end to your Nassau. It’s unfortunately one of those courses that grinds to a halt on the weekends, is never going to be in super great shape(but mostly in good shape), and is literally known for having the slowest pro shop around. Book online, shoot out when you are trying to get a round in after work, and get the early tee times if its the closet option for you on a Saturday or Sunday.

My friend and I went there this morning. my second time. I like the layout of the course, it provides ample opportunities to score and some to blow up. The weather today was not good… it rained on and off a few times, but nothing that continued to more than 5 – 10 minutes. For $ 50 a round, every cart should have a windshield. Instead the vast majority do not, very depressing as you get drenched quickly… The front 9 moved dreadfully slow, we were backed up 3 deep for no reason, other than the fact that people were just playing lethargic, slow, horrible golf. I’m not a great golfer(mid 80’s), but there were some horrible golfers out there today causing the majority. Because of the slow play, the cart gal did come around and give EVERYONE on the front nine a free can of beer. The course was not in good condition, ROLLTHEGREENS. The fairways were patchy, rough intermittent, tee boxes torn up and greens in pretty poor condition. Again, for $ 50, I expect a little more care for the course. Finally, the snack shop on the turn. I don’t expect to go in and get a deal, as its a golf course, items are marked up. But $ 5.66 and for a 3 musketeers and a brat? Come on!

Quit using your water during this time. I’ve seen you watering your course two days after the Nashville flood and we’re supposed to be conserving water you douche-bags! Not responsible!

Ever since they re-did the greens in the summer of 2006, I think this has been a much better golf experience. But every good thing gets balanced out, which means that the prices have gone up, although not out of line with other golf courses in the area. Right now it is $ 47 for a round during the week, and $ 57 on the weekend. If you are reading this and think that is sounds like a good price, please send me a message. You pay for the round, I’ll buy the beer. The people who work in the clubhouse and in the restaurant have always been very nice to everyone who comes through the door, from what I have seen. I used to work in that area, and would sneak out during lunch to hit some balls at the range, which is also on par(pun intended) with the rest of the courses in the area.
