Frey Heating & Plumbing Service

Overpriced for the job that was done! Faucet was dripping — replaced a cartridge /​clip. They charge $ 85.00 to come and tell what is the cost to fix it. If have it fixed — they drop the 85.00 charge and you pay way too much for the service (my opinion). For maximum time of 20 minutes he was here — the charge was $ 289.00!!! I can’t believe I paid that amount!!! Won’t do it again though… when there’s an upfront charge to see the problem that’s a warning to call someone else!

I can’t remember ever getting worse «service» anywhere in my life. I was told on the phone that there is $ 135. Charge just for coming out to the house, but would be applied to cost of service. The technician said that it wasnt a plumbing issue, but I needed the septic tank emptied. call after that’s done. I told him I doubted that was the case, but he wouldn’t look further. I called septic company who removed top of tank, looked and said the tanks only ½ full. At that point I had to pay him anyway for the call so he emptied it. The back up was still in the lines. I asked first guy to check down by the water softener, but he wouldn’t. He said he’s an expert and that woul not be cause of problem. I called Frey back to have him open the lines, after spending $ 400 to empty ½ full tank.$ 135. For his first visit and I’m still in exact same place I was to start. Again, $ 135 for him to return to the house. I have a very large long basement. There were two ways to get at this clog! He (Eric from Frey) said the only way was to remove toilet in closest bathroom, and get to it that way. Another $ 500. He did that and left. I checked with the bank and both checks had been cashed the day they got them! They said they guarantee the job for 30 days, which was terrible to begin with but I’d already given them so much money. I had to live with it. Less then a week later, on a Saturday, of course… the same issue happened again! Water rushing thru all the pipes in the basement! I called Frey, totally upset and at my wits end… Eric said he didn’t care for my attitude and wouldn’t come back!, I’d have to call his boss on Monday. Meanwhile, my basement is flooded and we can’t use water or toilets. I have a disabled son that lives with me, and couldn’t do that. I ended up calling Ace Plumbing, who came that day… checked the pipe I asked Eric to at the very beginning. guess what? That’s exactly where the clog was. It was near the water softener. he snaked that part.10 minutes later the pipes were 100% clear! You could hear the lines opening and not a drip of water! Ace charged $ 125. For a Saturday! It’s been a month now and not a problem. I did call the owner that Monday, and he basically double talked and kept saying that doesn’t sound like «my Eric»! He then told me to take him to court… and hung up on me. The funniest thing was, that afternoon I got a letter from Frey telling me how much they value their customers and they strive for excellence. signed by the guy that just hung up on me! I’m a widow and I honestly believe they intentionally took advantage of me in this situation. Worst business in Sussex Vounty!
