First things first… I am NOT an artist. No talent here. But, I know what I enjoy looking at and basically it’s everything in this place. The owner, Jim McReynolds couldn’t be friendlier or more helpful. The art is not the boring, stuffy, historical based stuff that can be found in Franklin. Lots of whimsy and color! Thank you Gallery 202 for fighting the Beige Malaise with us! We will be back!

Came here on one of Franklin’s monthly art crawls, and these are friendly proprietors that can throw a party. The building has some interesting history which the staff will be happy to tell you.

I’m not a regular at little kitschy art galleries, so my review may not have much ‘street cred’, but I’ll do my best. I’ve been here several times for events that were hosted here(a fashion show one time!) and the work here has always caught my eye. There are some beautiful paintings in here, as well as some very interesting 3 Dimensional installation-ish pieces(or at least there were the last time I was there). They’ve been host to some gorgeous folk art and insanely detailed and accurate charcoal pencil drawings. I even heard that Katy Perry and Russell Brand visited this gallery for a couple hours one day! Their back garden area is wonderful for a party of 100 – 200. The spiraling flame tornado thing in the glass case is always an eye-catcher. This venue also participates in the local ‘Franklin Art Crawl’, so if you’re ever in the area or ‘crawling’, I’d suggest stopping in. :)
