Kohl’s

I come at least once a month to this location because it’s clean, convenient, and full of amazing savings. I hit up all the hidden clearence spots in the stores and use additional coupons to get killer savings (gotta love those 30% off coupons!). Right now all their Christmas items are 80% off. Get on it!
Returning stuff is also super easy, even if you don’t have a receipt. The staff has always been super nice and helpful to me, which is just another reason to shop here more :)

Solid choice here. Really clean, easy access lot, fair prices. Only downside, and this goes for all Kohls, everything is «always on sale.» Seriously, look above every rack and all items are almost always on some sort of imitation sale. Purely a marketing scheme few people actually realize and its getting kind of tired.

I have had mediocre experiences here in the past – nothing to really impress me, but also nothing to turn me away (hence the 2-​star review overall rather than 1-​star review on the basis of my most recent experience). Yesterday, I had a pretty horrific experience at this store resulting in my not having any desire to return despite the barrage of Kohl’s coupons I receive in my email on a near daily basis (annoying, but I like to save money, so I put up with it). I went in during the late afternoon hours on a weekday in which the store was not that busy and needed assistance from a store associate to find a particular item. I walked around the department I was shopping in for about 10 minutes and did not see an associate. Therefore, I walked to the customer service desk and requested assistance in that department. The associate at the desk was professional and paged another associate to meet me at the department. When I returned to the department, I was met by the associate sent to help me. She was sloppily dressed and groomed, her hair was uncombed, and she smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. She greeted me by quickly and harshly saying «What do you need?» (rather than «How may I help you?»), as if I was really bothering her by requesting help. When I asked for help finding a particular item, she showed me where it was almost impulsively and directed me to the wrong size before walking away without asking if I needed additional help. In addition to not being attuned to what I needed as a customer, she made no eye contact with me. I wanted additional assistance finding the right size, but the associate never followed up with me and I never saw her again for the next 30 minutes I spent trying to find an item in the right size by myself. After digging through many items trying to find my size, not having any luck, and not being able to find further helpful assistance, I left the store without purchasing anything. I will say that the associate conversing with another associate at the register (no customers there either) did stop her conversation long enough to tell me to have a good evening as I was walking out the door. Needless to say, it will take a lot to get me into a Kohl’s store again after this experience!

Newer store, great selection, and a private lot. Skip the traffic and parking nightmare that is Greenwood and visit Franklin.
