This place is just what Franklin needed. Great hand crafted beers. Super friendly stall. They also offer free tours, it was interesting. Plus they have the food truck in the parking lot. You can purchase the food and take inside and have with your beer. Along with The Bowery restaurant a step in the right direction. I hope to see more of this type of establishment in this little town of Franklin.

Fantastic brewery, run by friendly people who go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. All of their beers are worth trying. I also love that they welcome families and even have a kids play area. We always make sure to stop in here at least once while we are in Franklin.

I’m from Ocala, Florida and since last summer this is a place that I make sure to visit every time I go to the Smoky Mountains for vacation. One of my favorite little breweries. The first time I went I had their session IPA, but unfortunately that’s not on tap anymore. I do, however, enjoy their regular IPA as well. Can’t go wrong with a Lazy Hiker brew.

We enjoyed this small brewery. Nice relaxing place to kick back and throwback some cold ones. Highly recommend stopping in and check it out for yourself.

Great little brewery. Sat outdoors fireside on their patio on a warm(65 degrees) December evening– enjoying a flight of their finest brews, munching on fish tacos from the food truck, and watching the stars come out with Husbandad, Fal, and the resident Chocolate Lab. Does life get better than this? I submit that it dies not! Try the black coffee black stout. It is grounds for a return visit.

It was a rainy day in Franklin so our hiking plans fell through, but the Lazy Hiker was an awesome substitute! My boyfriend and I split a flight — I really liked the Golden Ale and Slack Pack IPA. The Smoked Porter was cool but a little overwhelmingly smokey. The employees were so nice and we enjoyed talking to Kim while we sat at the bar. The atmosphere was open, inviting and very dog friendly(a plus for us!) and there’s a big TV so it’s a great place to catch a game. My sister, brother-in-law and 2 nieces joined us. My nieces made great use of the kids area with coloring books, chalk boards and doll houses and everyone was able to relax and enjoy our beers a little longer with the kids occupied. There is also a food truck(I think it was called Fork in the Road) that’s parked outside and we got quesadillas, fries and onion rings — all delicious and prepared quickly! Good brewery with a welcoming atmosphere and only about a 2 minute walk from the downtown area of Franklin — we had a great time!

Such an Amazing place AND right up the street from my home! WE love the beer, bands, and the Fork in The Road food truck is Delicious … love taking my dogs up there and chilling with my Husband and Friends. Franklin has needed this for about a decade now!!! Cannot wait to see what unfold in the yard next summer!!! FYI is It very hard to hear the bands if your seating up by the picnic tables

Good beer plus kid’s toys — doll houses, chalkboards and books, made for a much needed adult afternoon in Franklin with the kids.

Neat little place, rustic on the inside. Currently 8 beers on tap, 3 IPAs, 2 Porters. So for my husband and I personally, that limits the selection options. Love the atmosphere though, I know they haven’t been open long, so I hope they add more beer options. Love sour beers, I’d love to see one next time we come in!

Pleasant surprise in Franklin! Great ambiance, staff & location. They have a food truck in the parking lot, full time… smart! They were packed on a Thursday evening. Amphitheater out back for what I am sure are fantastic events. The brew… we shared a flight to try everything. Good choice, we liked most everything. Then we both selected a pint to enjoy. Go try & enjoy! Congratulations, Franklin, you have a true gem on your hands. Don’t screw this up! Keep them in business!

Me likey. Just what Franklin needed. I went at 3PM and the brewery is not even really officially open until tomorrow; it was getting crowded. I’m certain they’ll be a success. Not only are they the only game in town but they have good beer. The parking lot is pretty small but there’s tons of street parking. Light, bright and airy, almost in Asheville style with the open air taproom. Lovely tank top clad ladies slinging beers! The flights come in fives for eight bucks. The samples are very generous. The flight carriers are prone to spilling beer everywhere and need some rethinking. My wet lap agrees. My flight: Inaugural Pale, Inaugural IPA, Inaugural Porter, Inaugural Amber and Inaugural Session IPA. The Session IPA was the best followed by the Porter. The flavors stayed on the simple side(playing it a bit safe) and the IBUs were pretty low on the IPAs, but they were all drinkable. Looking forward to trying the Double IPA. Really good start guys and gals! Looking forward to seeing where things go from here!
