My family & I stopped here on a Thursday night & things were slightly crowded, but we were seated pretty quickly. Once seated our waitress brought us our drinks and told us that she had to give another table their ticket & she would be right back. Unfortunately, we sat for 20 minutes with NOONE to take our order. We watched our waitress do many more things and not even bothering to check up on us in between! After waiting patiently for over 20 minutes, we asked another waitress to check and see where ours was. When our waitress finally returned she told us that she had to take someone else their soup and she would be right with us. When she returned, we politely told her we would like our check for our drinks and left. We were recommended this restaurant by a close friend and had high hopes for their food. Sadly, we didn’t make it that far. Really hope this isn’t the norm, wish my family could’ve had a better experience for a simple dinner in Franklin.

We heard about this place from many of the locals, so had to check it out. It is very casual – like a diner. The food was excellent, especially the lobster ravioli. Service was friendly, and it gives you a great feel of where the locals and families in the area hang out for dinner.

This place was a great surprise. Fresh made bread. Large menu. Good specials. Good service. I had the Shrimp Scampi, lots of shrimp and fresh garlic. Looking forward to going back.

Tiny towns always have one really awesome Italian/pizza place and Franklin has that in Leonardo’s. Great stuffed ravioli and steak subs, great food in general. It’s a small place that you feel squashed into, but it always comes back to the food for me. I tend to get it to go to avoid the dining room. This has got to be one of my mother’s favorite places to eat when we come to visit my brother. Large portions and good quality make it worth the visit.

Awesome food. If you order a calzone, be prepared to take half of it home with you, or order a size or two smaller than you think you can eat. I go for pizza occasionally, too, which is really good. I’ve never been displeased with the food. Some days this place is packed and you have to sit in a table where you will most likely have people trying to squeeze past — probably because it’s so good, though. I’d give it 5 stars if the ambiance was a little better.

Yummy! Everything they make is awesome comfort food. I recommend it to anyone from out of town that asks me for a good place to eat.

Leonardos is definitely one of the best restaurants in Franklin. Even if the line is out the door the wait will be worth it. There atmosphere is so friendly and inviting, they always make you feel welcome. The food is always so delicious and priced super reasonable. The calzones are so delicious and are large enough to share.

Leonardo’s is a fabulous restaurant in Franklin, PA. Leonardo’s offers a wide variety of homemade foods including: subs, pizzas, Stromboli, pastas, etc. All of the bread is freshly homemade. In addition, Leonardo’s is reasonably inexpensive and portion sizes are relatively large. The only downfall is this restaurant is small and it is hard to get a table on a Friday or Saturday evening. Customers are also welcome to call and place an order for takeout. No delivery service available. Bottom Line: Highly recommend unless you suffer from wheat allergies.

A hometown favorite. Leo’s as it’s known by the locals is pretty much the best place to go in the small Victorian town of Franklin. On the weekends or after a show at the Barrow Civic Theater the place is humming and the staff are on their game. The fare is typical Italian American and nothing amazing, but it’s always prepared well and somehow always hits the spot. Though their entrees aren’t amazing their pizzas, calzones, wedgies, and fresh baked bread are amazing. The calzones have to be my favorite, chewy yet crisp dough. A perfect amount of oozing mozzarella and loads of creamy ricotta with ham and their signature sauce that doesn’t overpower. Great prices, family friendly, and amazing take-out. Do it.

I have been to Leonardos several times over the past few years. I always get the large calzone, and everytime it has come out with a cold center. I think its because of the high heat in the oven, and such a huge amount of dough. That aside, it is a good calzone when re-heated or cooked again. The staff is very friendly. Great curbside appeal as well.

This is Franklin’s favorite pizza joint. Every W PA town should have one. Beer, wings, great pizza and subs! On fridays year around they have the beer battered fish dinner. OMG! Crispy, crunchy and not oily at all, my favorite. We always get pizzas here when we have company in town, it’s always a hit!

I am in Pennsylvania on a work trip and was given guidance by Unilocal to give this place a try. I ordered the Stromboli which was filled with a delicious mixture of mozzarella, ham, salami, mushrooms, onions, and bell peppers. One would think that with all those delicate meats swimming in a pool of cheese would lead to a grease orgy, but you would be mistaken. The Stromboli had crisp exterior with a warm soft center and every bite was delicious. For the price of the meal you can’t beat it, my tab was $ 12 for a small Stromboli, which was the size of a large dinner plate, and two draft beers. I would definitely eat here again if I get stuck in the middle of Pennsylvania again.

Leonardo’s is a place you crave when you can’t go. I wish to pack Leo’s up and take it with me so I will never miss it again. You can’t go wrong with anything you order at Leo’s. The fresh bread for the subs are fantastic. The Strombolis are so big you will have leftovers. Their milkshakes are super tasty. Just remember, Leo’s is not open every day of the week, and they close a week for vacation.

I love Leonardo’s. The food is pretty good, but I’m a big fan of the sub rolls. I dream of the steak sub with marinara sauce, onions, and cheese. I can’t find a place like it in Rochester, so I try to make one trip to Leo’s each time I go home.
