Oscar’s is delicious and affordable. I love their breakfast burritos(chorizo and egg is my fav), and my husband goes for their carnitas. I’ve had their quesadillas too, also good. Their queso and chips is a MUST, and everything is cooked to order and piping hot. We can get two burritos(big!) for like $ 12, which these days is a deal. Plenty of seating, clean restrooms, nice employees. No frills and no complaints here! I also like to call ahead for pickup on my way home from work. Sometimes this location is packed because of martial arts classes next door letting out. P. S. They have delicious hot churros!

Oscar’s tacos are pretty tasty. They not only serve tacos here they offer other Mexican dishes such as burritos or enchiladas however the best to my opinion are tacos. The reason why I tacos from here is because they are simple and remind me of my Texas taquerias. When I say simple I am talking about just a plain corn tortilla with your main protein… chicken or beef and topped with onions and cilantro and salsa. I must say that they have a pretty amazing queso. It’s a bit spicy and creamy. Prices start at $ 2. Service is fast and the place is pretty clean.

Best shrimp burrito I have had since living on the West coast. The cheese dip was so delicious and their salsa and green sauce was above and beyond. My husband got the car it’s tacos and the portion was very big for their prices! Chips were hot and fresh along with everything else. I would highly recommend this place and can’t wait to go back and try the breakfast burritos. Also, you order at the counter and can take out or sit and eat in. Excellent food!

Delicious chicken quesadilla! Very good flavor, tender chicken, crispy outside, and not too salty. I would definitely recommend it and make sure you eat it right away otherwise the tortillas would become soggy if you leave them in the box. The tacos, I have tried fish, chicken, and beef, are good too. Better than many taco places in Nashville. Also recommend their breakfast burritos. Good price for a very decent amount of food.

Amazing. Best shrimp tacos I’ve had off the coast! Cute little shop. The beef shredded tacos were also amazing. The only reason this is 4 start and not five is due to the lack of salsa options(I get how snobby that sounds, I’m sorry) and we were charged for something we didn’t order.

The food is ok. Nothing to write home about. The last two times I’ve gone however my order has been either incorrect or totally forgotten by the staff. The tortas are unremarkable and the tacos are meh. The queso however is pretty solid. Also the booths are very cramped and uncomfortable.

This was pretty good. It filled the void. Honestly, the best part was the hot, fresh chips and queso we ordered. YUM wish there had been more actual chips with the dip — we had lots of dip left over and I would’ve enjoyed eating more of that than my chimichanga. The chimichanga was pretty good, but a little greasy for me. Plus, I prefer shredded chicken. Otherwise good, hot and fresh. Also, I am a Coke product person or nothing. Pepsi doesn’t cut it, so I just had water. But, the meal was fast, hot and fresh… which is very nice!

I love this place. I usually order the Carne Machaca combo plate which is a shredded beef /egg blend with beans and rice and tortillas. It is a lot of meat and from what I have seen every dish offers a generous amount of meat. It is always lean cuts, good meat. The dish also comes with great pico de gallo(which I don’t usually like, but is great here), guacamole and sour cream. The only reason that I give it four stars instead of five is that I am not crazy about either of their two salsas. I don’t find them flavorful. Not a fancy place… more of a quick meal type place, but the wait staff is very friendly and the food tasty and good quality.

The place is packed at lunch, which is an indication of good food. I had the #2 combo(2 tacos with rice and beans and a drink). The meat was high quality. Much better than most Mexican restaurants. The taco shells were definitely homemade, but were not anything special. The salsa was in a squirt bottle and hot, which I like. However it was not very flavorful with cilantro and veggies. At a cost of $ 10, it was not a good value for me. Although things are priced higher in Franklin, I cannot justify the price for a couple of tacos.

One of the best tacos in Nashville. Owners are from San Diego and it tastes like it. Football en español on the TV. The fish tacos are only OK, but the carnitas and asada are increible. Muy autentico.

Everything is great, except for the chemicals they use to wipe down the floors. Makes the place very clean, but I cannot eat here as it smells so strongly of detergent.

This is the third Oscar’s Taco Shop we’ve visited in Franklin. In a nutshell… consistent high quality and service. This particular location is much larger than the other two(Westhaven and Columbia Ave) but the food is the same — solid. One feature of the Westhaven shop that would enhance this one are large high-quality posters of the food. The menu is quite large(and I’ve tried nearly all of it.) So, pics for the uninitiated would be helpful to have here… and there is room on the walls. The walls are light-colored and I think the splashes of bright colors of the food would be a nice touch. Regardless, it’s the food — the food — the food. And it’s fine — good — great!

Why are you closed on Sundays!!! Oscars is so good that needs to be 24⁄7!!! The Machaca breakfast burrito with added potatoes and the fish tacos are the bomb. Everything tastes soooo good here!!!

I love this place! Their tacos are to die for and service is always fairly quick. If you like tacos al pastor(chopped marinated pork), these are the best in town. Food is a bit more pricey than your average authentic joint, but well worth the price.

Let me start with this, people complaining about the parking are drama queens(and apparently lazy ones). There is only one row of parking at the store front which does fill quickly, but there two lots on either side of the strip the restaurant is in and there’s plenty of that. So you had to walk a couple extra steps, no reason to knock the restaurant for it… As for the food: Yum Yum Yum! I am a fan of Oscars taco shop and am very excited there is another one down the road from my house near Antioch. Huge portions for fair prices, I had their chicken fajitas for around $ 9, and the plate was as full as they could stuff it, had plenty left over to make a second meal out of. The chicken was flavorfull, the rice was great, the beans were yummy, all that great flavor you want when you go for Mexican. I was there with two other friends, one got the fajitas as well and the other got a huge loaded quesadilla, looked awesome. We all split the«small» order of chips and queso, plenty for the three of us. I will most definitely be back. The only thing I didn’t love about Oscar’s was the interior. Hard minimal booths, not much décor, kind of reminded me of a Mexican subway, not a place I would want to take my time at and have a couple beers(which they do serve), it seemed styled and set up to be a quick in and out for lunch or dinner.

I should have known better than to try Mexican food outside of Southern California. I just should have known. I love Mexican food and it’s something that I relate to comfort food and this place really fell short for me. I came here with my boyfriend and his friend to pick up some food for the NBA game since Mexican food was the only thing that all three of us could agree on. First things first, I was shocked by how expensive a single taco was. Yes, they are a little bigger than I expected but still way overpriced for the quality of the food. I ordered three tacos: Carne Asada, Carnitas, and Chicken. I was happy that they loaded up on guacamole and cheese on the tacos but the flavor was severely lacking. I could only eat half of my Carnitas because it was so dry. The Carne Asada taco was a little better but still not that flavorful. My favorite out of the three was the Chicken Taco. It had the most flavor and was juicy. I also tried a bite of my boyfriend’s Carne Asada burrito and that needed a lot of work. For the price, they served up some really mediocre food. On top of that, they didn’t have horchata which is a must according to my boyfriend at Mexican restaurants, and their spicy salsa sucked. 2⁄5
