Pantaleo Art Gallery At Main Street Coffee and Tea

This museum has nice paintings from local artists. The price of these art works is also affordable. The museum puts up paintings based on themes at different times of the year. You can also vote for your favorite artist and the artist with most votes becomes Art Gallery artist of the month. Nice little museum with very nice paintings. This gallery will be celebrating its 50^th anniversary this June, 2012.

One of the nicest ones that I went to on my trip to Western North Carolina and I am glad that I did because I plan to make a trip back down there hoping that the piece of art that I fell in love with is still there. I really liked the set up of this place because not all the same artist is in the same place you could look at one piece really like it and ten minutes later look at another and see that it is by the same artist. All of the artist that had pieces in this store were local, which was very special to me because their pieces were not as expensive as the other local artist that we have seen on this trip and was just as good if not better art work.

This gallery is small, intimate, and worth one’s time. This little art gallery houses great local works of art. I particularly liked the natural scenic views in paintings painted by the artist named «Weathers.» To show that I appreciated his work of art, staff members of this gallery have created a «Voting system» that allows you to write down the name of your favorite artist, and submit it so that the staff members can determine the «Artist Of The Month.» Another positive attribute of this place is the fair prices of the pieces. The price ranges I noticed were $ 10-​$ 3000. There is definitely something here to satisfy every art lover, or critic.

Pantaleo Art Gallery is essentially a co-​op of local artists (whether it be painters or photographers of all different styles) that is entering into its 50 year anniversary within the next month. I was astonished by the wide variety of artists and art on display in this co-​op. Be sure to participate in their interactive voting setup and vote for your three favorite artists, which helps determine which artist is awarded «Artist of the Month.» (The artist with the most votes each month wins the award.)
This gallery is easily on my top 3 list of attractions to visit while in downtown Franklin. It is a rich combination of culture, art, and local creativity that does not disappoint.
