I find myself in Franklin semi-frequently and had been wanting to pop into Suzy’s but found that it was usually closed by the time I was in the area. On this occasion, however, my boyfriend and I were downtown in the late morning hours and he had mentioned an interest in a cup of tea on our drive south from Indy. Well, I had just the place in mind! Reason’s why Suzy’s Teahouse & Bakery is Awesome and Worth Your Dollar: 1. All of their sandwiches are built on homemade gluten-free bread. Yes, «built.» Build me a sandwich! Okay, this may not be your definition of awesome, but when you’re a person who deals with a legit wheat allergy and really misses grilled cheese sandwiches, a place like Suzy’s is an oasis in the desert! 2. To build upon number one, it appears as though all of Suzy’s baked goods are gluten-free! Unfortunately, I didn’t understand this while I was inside. While their sign is marked as such, their menu declares sandwiches specifically being GF, not necessarily desserts. In this case, I consider Suzy’s lucky. Why? Because had I realized I could have had anything in the case, I would have cleared that place out. It wouldn’t have been pretty. Seriously beautiful-looking treats. 3. Lattes are brewed to order, not made from concentrate. Stand aside, Starbucks! There’s a tastier chai tea latte in town! 4. Samples of each tea selection are placed in jars along the wall for you to sniff to your heart’s content. 5. Don’t know what a specific herbal tea is good for? Have no fear! Written on the walls are the names of various tea types and ailments they’re good for treating. 6. Brew a whole pot for yourself or share with a table of friends! 7. Suzy’s sells a variety of cute, local gifts and food items. It’s worth noting that we didn’t try anything other than the latte we came in for, so I can’t really say much about the quality or taste of the aforementioned sandwiches. But this is a very cute and cozy spot with its own little niche, and I’ll definitely be returning to try their food items!

Great Shop! The service is friendly and the bakery goods are so yummy. I try a new tea each time I visit and I have not been disappointed yet! Great for: meetings, small group gatherings, tea with a friend or a planning day by yourself.

Super cozy, this tea shop is a great place to unwind with a good book or a good friend. The tea is great, I hear the quiche is also quite tasty(last I heard they don’t offer a vegetarian one though), and the desserts are straight from heaven itself. I don’t come here often because I’m more of a coffee girl, but when I do I never regret it!

I had surgery today. And wanted a treat. So, I had a «carrot cake» baked at Suzy’s for me. Oh my goodness! It was a wonderful treat! thank YOU!

I didn’t know anything about tea. There are many tea’s & herbs to chose from. The staff/Owner are very helpful in helping. I greatly enjoyed my tea & food. Really nice & intimate place, nice atmosphere. I would highly recommend Suzy’s.

Amazing new place. Tons of tea selections and you can sniff them all before you pick. Gluten free desserts are out of this world! Love the shop and the environment is amazing! Our favorite is the Hummingbird cake cups and fruit basket tea.
