Buffet is excellent. Palak Paneer was awesome. Chicken soup and Tandoori Chicken appeared to have stale chicken in it. Overall, food is very good.

Best Indian food we’ve tried. We had Channa Masala and Chicken Tikka Masala. As well as vegetable samosas. Everything was really delicious! Restaurant is cute and very clean. Staff are really great! Will be back again and again!

Stopped in for dinner with my wife and 11 yr old son on Cinco de Mayo. We intended to have Mexican, but the place was packed, so Indian cuisine was also on our wish list. Read some great reviews by fellow Unilocalers and this place is a highlight of the Franklin area. Arrived around 630 so there were two other tables filled with diners, and during the evening a couple more tables filled. Nice interior, quiet with a television showing Indian shows on in the background. Located in a renovated restaurant that had a drive-in window — I guess they still use the window for pick-ups. The server brought some papadam and chutney and we loved the crispy waiver-thin texture. Ordered vegetarian samosas(2) — skin was a bit thicker than I have had in the past, but the ingredients were great. Half a tandoori chicken, chicken makhani, vegetable biryhani, basmati rice, garlic naan and raita was our meal. All were very flavorful — we asked for mild given my son’s sensitive palate. Best dishes were the makhani and the biryhani. Sauce for the makhani was quite flavorful and just the right thickness — not too gummy or too watery. Great to put on the rice with some raita. Veg biryhani was also very flavorful and abundant. Little disappointed with the tandoori, as the half chicken was the smallest chicken I have ever seen — drum stick was more like that seen in a squab, and the other pieces were miniature sized as well — maybe we are too used to those rotisserie chickens from the supermarkets. Will visit again, but the restaurant needs to balance their serving sizes better. Of course we had plenty of left over basmati rice and veg biryhani, but the other entrée dishes barely fed two adults and one child.

I was intrigued by my first glance at this restaurant. Why does an Indian restaurant have a drive through? I figured maybe they just bought an old restaurant who had one and never renovated. As I was dining there, I did see a car drive up! The décor of the restaurant is nice and it is fairly clean. I sat near the window and kept feeling a blast of warm air from the heater but it was eventually turned off. As for food, I ordered the fried cheese appetizer, garlic naan, chicken vindaloo, and fish curry. I do not recommend the fried cheese: it didn’t have any taste to it and that texture felt like ricotta cheese. I ended up using the dipping sauces they give in the beginning to add taste to it. The chicken vindaloo was decent but it was a bit sour. The fish curry was pretty good, not the best curry flavor but the fish itself was really tender. The highlight of my order was the garlic naan. It was so fresh and flavorful. If I lived close by I would probably give this place another try, but since it’s 45 minutes away from me I wouldn’t make the trip back.

Outstanding Indian food, from The complimentary papadum and sauces, coconut soup and garlic naan to the chicken saag, tandoori chicken and lamb ragosh… best mango lassi I’ve had in years, too! Service is superior and prices reasonable! Will definitely plan on future visits!

New favorite place for Indian. I stopped in after a cool evening ride & was looking for something to warm me up. I’d heard good things about this place but was very skeptical of finding a good Indian restaurant in our area! I had the tomato soup, chicken vindaloo & garlic naan. All excellent. The chutney & other dipping sauces with papadum were very good also. The staff were friendly & service was very good — all in all I’m looking forward to making this place a new regular stop.

The buffet is good but I don’t feel like they keep up with the demand very well; usually have to wait for more naan or tikka masala. The quality of the food is very good though the Tikka is amazing. Service is good. Small but nice place.

Nice to have a buffet option for Indian food, reason 1… Variety… Reason 2… Had no idea what to order. Very nice interior decorating, and staff was very attentive. The chef and owner visited our table, and even explained what some of the food was. Lol If you never tried Indian food, this is a perfect opportunity to sample some really great food!

I love Indian food. Since moving from Providence, where I had 3 favorites within 3 miles, I’ve been looking for something close by. Inspired by all of the great Unilocal reviews, we decided to give it a try. Our host and server were very pleasant and our food was tasty and met my high expectations. I should have ordered my lamb korma mild or medium, because it was quite hot, which I enjoy, but my husband had a hard time with. We had veggie samosas, garlic nan, and cauliflower curry, topped off with mango Lassi to cut the heat. We’ll definitely be back!

In town for work and wanted Indian buffet. Wow I was nicely surprised by the quality and price. The chef/owner came out with fresh tikka, Nan and tandoori. A real treat and worth searching for them. Enjoy!

Service: 5 stars Rice: extremely undercooked: 2 stars Chicken tandoori: good. 4 stars Lamb roghan joosh: 3.5 stars The soup: 3.0 stars Overall 3.0 stars Recommendations: if you really craving Indian food this is not a bad place. We had very limited experience and maybe the undercooked rice was an anomaly.

The Curry House is awesome! We were thrilled to see this place open shortly after we moved to Franklin. The food is fantastic, the staff and owner are very friendly, the buffet is good and rotates dishes regularly. My wife and I were eating here 2 – 3 times a week for months. We’ve ordered catering from here, we’ve done take out, and dined in for dinner and lunch. Great addition to Franklin!

Outstanding. This may be my top Indian food restaurant outside of NYC. I don’t have a palate for hot food but love Chicken Tikka Masala and always order it mild but find most places lacking. The Curry House offers mild but with just enough kick to satisfy. We also got the naan-plain for my husband and garlic for me. Garlic lovers will be truly pleased as there is more than enough on the naan! The staff is incredibly accommodating and engaged just enough. They don’t have a liquor license yet but are working on it. I will absolutely be driving the 20 minutes for the best Indian food within miles!

Came here on a lazy afternoon during the week and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of their buffet! May still have the outside appearance of a fast food shop but inside is beautiful and the food is amazing. Make sure you stop by here and try it out for yourself!

Excellent buffet with many varied choices of both vegetable and meat dishes. Manager/owner visited each table and chatted. So friendly and professional. Chef came out with fresh naan and passed it out to tables. Heaven. So glad to have Indian place in Franklin. Will return!

So far I have done take out one time and dined in twice. Take out — We went there on opening night and got 2 soups because we happened to be driving by and saw their sign was lit up. We got the tomato soup which was really yummy but a little too much pepper for my liking — that’s fine, next time I’ll just tell them not too much pepper. Dine in — First time was great — had chicken tikka x2 and full tandoori chicken as well as 1 mulligatawny soup and samoas. The second time dining in, we chose to go on my relatives birthday and we had a wonderful meal. From apps, to main meals, to dessert, everything was amazing and absolutely delicious. We got 3 mulligatawny soups and 1 tomato soup, samoas, lots of garlic naan, full tandoori chicken, chicken saag, and 3 chicken tikka masalas. We all thoroughly enjoyed our apps and entrees as well as the garlic naan! Everything was so yummy and the chicken tikka is some of the best tasting I have ever had. I can’t say how happy I am that the Curry House opened in Franklin as I used to drive 30 – 45 minutes for Indian food before! For dessert — They made an awesome dessert that consisted of pista kulfi(ice cream with cardamom/pistachios, rasmali(cheese balls soaked in rose water) and mango ice cream(self explanatory haha). It was delicious! It was such a thoughtful gesture that they did this for my relatives birthday and it was enough for the 4 of us to share. I can’t wait to go back again and I’m excited to see what the buffet will be like! 5 stars all around!
