The Thoroughbread 20

Right now I am sitting in the theatre on a Saturday night and it is filthy. Hasn’t been cleaned, trash everywhere.

I’ve always enjoyed seeing a movie at this theater. It is always clean and I love the IMAX screen.
I recently took in my first IMAX experience when I saw the new 300 on screen 15. It was awesome! It is a few dollars extra, but well worth it.
My only real complaints with Thoroughbred are trivial. It is crowded a lot. The parking lot is enormous, but it can still be difficult to find a spot and new movies sell out quickly. Franklin might be big enough for a second theater. Also, they have an ice cream parlor that I have never seen open. It is just a dark room off to the right as you walk in. They could also use an automated system for Fandango tickets. Picking up tickets reserved in this fashion can be a pain.
I remember when the theater opened. The first stadium-​seated theater was Hollywood 27 and that was quite a trip from Franklin. It was nice to have one closer to home. The old Cool Springs theater was also converted to a low-​price venue that showed movies in that limbo phase between their release and DVD debut.
This is the nicest theater around. I always love to see a movie and this is the perfect spot.
