Drove here from Spring Hill tonight to have a date night with the hubby. The website and even Unilocal stated they were open until 9:00pm. We arrived at 6:45 and was told the store was closed. We wasted a trip to Franklin. Hours should be correct on website. Very unhappy campers tonight.

My niece had her 5th birthday party here last weekend. The Factory is absolutely beautiful. Very historic vibe. They rented out the party room and all the kids got to paint a ceramic dog(I did too!). It was really fun. Everyone had a good time. They had music playing and all the kiddos were dancing. It was a great day.

I am a grown adult with no children and I loved this pottery studio! So many amazing items to paint! I do enjoy getting my creative on, and this was a great spot to do just that! It’s a $ 6 fee to paint, and then the cost of whatever you decide you want to paint. And there are so many items to choose from. Mugs, plates, seasonal items… there’s something for everyone really. There are superhero figurines even! The staff here were super helpful in explaining the whole process. They have a great selection of paints that include tiles showing you how your finished product will look. Once you paint, your items will be kiln fired and ready for pickup a week later(remember that so you’re not thinking you can walk out with your art that day). I went here with friends and we had such a great time. It’s a great place for kids parties too, if you have children, but its also a great place to go with friends before having dinner at the Factory, where the studio is located. I really enjoyed everything about this place. I painted an owl mug, and owl candle holder(yes, I like owls!) and a bird plate. And I am not at all ashamed to say I had a wonderful time doing so. This is a great spot to make one-of-a-kind gifts for friends and family, or yourself.

I booked a birthday party for my daughter at Third Coast Clay because I wanted something that would be neat for them to do and I would not have to worry about making a mess in my own home. When we arrived they took us back to the more«private» party area. We had selected a price range for the pieces the girls could choose from. I was originally fearful that there might not be anything the girls would consider«cute», but that fear was quickly squashed as the girls actually had trouble deciding which of the adorable figures they would put their own touch to. My older son even got in on the action. The attendant walked the kids through the process and gave them tips so that the colors would turn out as they wanted them to. The next hour was spent by the kids painting, chatting and having a fun time. The extra cool thing was the party plate that came with the package that was painted and personalized just for her and we all got to sign with a special pencil. She now has a keepsake that she can keep forever, should she choose to. When everyone was finished we then had cupcakes and drinks(that we brought in). I paid at the end of the party and was able to select when I wanted to pick up the items and if they wanted the girls could come on their own and pick them up as well when they were ready. It really is a place for all ages be it a girls birthday party, a ladies night out or a family gathering. I highly recommend Third Coast Clay for a fun time or just when you want to express your artistic side.

Need a creative idea for a date night? Are you looking for a place to take the kids on a rainy day? Trying to find a place to host a birthday party? Perhaps it’s your turn to pick something new to do with the girls on cocktail night? THIRDCOASTCLAYPOTTERYISYOURANSWER! I proudly give Third Coast Clay 5 stars for the following reasons: 1 gold star for great service + 1 gold star for the quality of pottery and paints + 1 gold star for cleanliness and organization + 1 gold star for having HUNDREDS of pottery pieces to choose from + 1 gold star for providing an environment good for ANY group or person to have fun, get creative and make something you’ll love and use. I have only been once and I went with my good friends’ 13 year old daughter. I decided within 1 minute of leaving that I want to take my 6 year old nephew pronto! I also want to bring my husband here on our next date night. I also want to strongly suggest this for the next Wednesday the girls and I get together. I also want to bring out of town family and friends. I also want to bring… Okay, okay, you get the picture! For $ 6 + the cost of pottery, you leave your little masterpiece for about a week for kiln«baking», glossing, etc. I had fun and I’m confident you will too!

I took a day off of work to have a day-date with my girlfriend and was looking for an activity for us to do after lunch in downtown Franklin. I’ve always wanted to visit a pottery-painting studio(because I’m artsy like that) because I’ve heard how much it is. Well we get to The Factory, which is amazing by the way, and as soon as we walk in we are cheerfully greeted by the staff. I tell them that it’s our first time ever doing something like this and they were extremely helpful in explaining the entire process for us. We decided to do something simple since it was our first time so we both went with plates. Hers was an awesome UGA plate filled with Gator-hate and mine represented Cellblock 303. This was just a fun experience as we were able to paint and talk and just have a blast. Our plates turned out quite awesome and I highly recommend you take a date and explore your creative side. It certainly makes for great conversation!

This place is so much fun. My niece had a birthday party there and they were great. We brought our own pizza and drinks and of course cake. They had tables set up for us to eat and help clean up after the kids did their painting. The staff was very helpful and polite. It’s a great way to get beyond coloring books with your kids.

Really fun place to spend a few hours«making your own» pottery! You simply add the paint! I have been here a couple of times w/my sister and its always a good time. They have a good assortment of dishes, bowls, and figures and lots of paint colors. Its pretty hands off and you are left to your own creative ideas. The pricing is very reasonable and the location is nice in the Factory at Franklin. Its typically medium crowded and I have never had a hard time finding a table even on a weekend.
