The people here are awesome. A lot of modern Christians. It’s an incredible atmosphere! I’ve gotten three tattoos from here and my fiancé has gotten two and is currently working on a ¾ sleeve with Noah. It’s a great place

While I have yet to personally get a tattoo or piercing from here, I have been in the shop multiple times and seen the great work they produce. I first went about two years ago with my roommate while she got one, and her wrist tattoo turned out great. The shop is clean and professional and the artists provide great conversation. Recently I went with my boyfriend while he worked on his armpiece(with the fantastic Brittany) and we had a great expereince. The piece turned out fantastic and I even went back to buy him a gift certificate for our anniversary. Definitely the best shop in town, the staff is very friendly and go out of their way to accomodate you and make sure you’re happy.

Coming from someone who has multiple tattoos from many artists across the U.S. And have always enjoyed meeting new artists and having different styles of work. But if I were to work exclusively with just one artist, it would be Brad from True Grit. Brad is a great artist and obviously his portfolio will back that up. Aside from the great work you can truly tell that he loves his work and really cares about creating a bond with his clients, and his attitude when your on the phone or when in his chair makes you feel like your more than just another buck in his pocket.

I love True Grit Ink! Everyone that works there is super awesome and is great at what they do. They take tattooing very seriously and try their hardest to make the client happy. The atmosphere at True Grit is so awesome. I live in Cincinnati, OH. Any time I want to get tattooed, I will gladly make the two hour drive to go there.

I don’t have true grit. I went in last night to get a tattoo and by the time I got there I realized that I just didn’t want it. Kari, the tattoo artist was very understanding. That being said, it was an awesome shop. The layout was sort of a pristine minimalist setting that reminded me somewhat of a space odyssey. Everything was very open, with low walls for privacy, and the place had a warm, welcoming, vibrant feel. If I do decide to get another tattoo, I will go there for sure.

Awesome shop with awesome work. Brad(owner) is a tattooing machine and I love the style and quality of his work. The environment at True Grit is way different than any other tattoo shop and honestly would be considered family friendly. The building is super clean and designed to the T. True Grit also houses a few other amazing in house artists. Lenny Rickard has been working at the Grit for quite sometime and does great pop art and traditional style tats due to her degree from the Herron Art School at IUPUI. She even does art pieces on commission. Recently, 2 new Artists have stepped in as well. Noah does amazing old school tat work(think Sailor Jerry) and Brittany has a developed art background and has an amazing range of tattooing skills. Lastly, True Grit also began Piercing with Daniel Robertson over the last month so look to schedule an appointment today. Take a look at some of Brad and Lenny’s work here:
