Fun Fun Fun place. Love the way they turned this house into a shop. At first I wasn’t sure if they were open, but let myself right it. It really is, whimsical. The lady in the shop was super friendly as were the others shopping. I was given several recommendations on places to visit. I really, really just loved this place. They have so much beautiful stuff!!!

This store is adorable! It’s located on Jefferson Street in a row of little antique/vintage/salvage shops and you can make an afternoon walking up and down. Make this the first stop though! The woman I talked to while in there was so kind and helpful in getting me what I needed. I don’t know if she owned the small store or if she just worked there, but she can certainly carry on a conversation and was by far the friendliest person in the shops on this street. The booths inside are like an Etsy dream. Everything has the pastel shabby chic vibe and it’s so lovely. The stairs up are very steep and the whole shop is creaky but it is an old home so going in you shouldn’t expect anything else! This specific store also has a garden area and garage that’s a step outside the back door that’s open even when snow covers the ground. I’m sure the garden is beautiful when it’s not covered in ice and snow!

I was in the area and saw Vintage Whimsy and thought I’d check it out. Walking up the sidewalk and steps to the door, we weren’t sure what to expect. Are they open? Well. the sign in the front says it is. Do we knock or just walk in? Is this someone’s house? No, no, just go on in. We can always apologize later for mistaking this place as a business. We open the door, slowly. Victory! There’s a cash register and someone behind it welcoming us in. Sure glad that moment’s over. The place is an old house, and every room has been converted into different sections for antiques and vintage memorabilia. There were several tables and hutches that I wish I could find room for, along with some great frames begging for someone far more artsy and creative than me to snatch and do something with. My mind immediately thought of Sondra S and Joanna B. this seems like a place they’d be right at home in. This is a place I’m going to have to visit on a fairly regular basis; my guess is that the merchandise rotates on a regular basis, and I bet I can find some pretty cool things here.
