The YMCA is like my second home. It feels like I spend more time here than anywhere. Everyone is super friendly, almost obnoxiously so (but that’s better than the alternative). I really enjoy taking group fitness classes, and I like that I don’t have to pay extra to attend them. I use the childcare at least twice a week, and the workers know my daughter by name. I have no worries about leaving her in their care. Often it gets busy in January so you might struggle to get your favorite machine (but don’t all gyms?). If you want to avoid the crowd, go when the child care isn’t open, and you’ll be sure to have unlimited choices and fewer folks around you.
