Holiday Inn Express & Suites

I had an enjoyable three night stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Fraser/​Winter Park. The beds while a bit firm were comfortable, the rooms were a decent size and most importantly, clean. The staff was professional and even let us linger in the pool/​hot tub a bit after the 10 pm cutoff. The pool is small and by small, I mean really small but it was refreshing after a long day of hiking in the mountains. The breakfast is better than many of the hotels that offer free breakfast with the reservation. The location is very good. You’re just a short drive from hiking or the shops, restaurants, and bars in Winter Park. It is also conveniently located next to a Safeway and a liquor store. Behind the hotel, you will find the Fraser river with a walking trail.
I doubt I will ever make it back to Winter Park but if I do, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Booking was made over the phone 2 hours before we arrived… Very Friendly Staff… Brandon welcomed us and made some suggestions for my family’s dinner plans. Room was clean and comfortable. KEURIG in the room was GOLD. Pool was a good size and their workout room was just enough for a quick workout. I could have spent less to go somewhere else but knowing Holiday Inn has been a popular American Hotel I knew I didn’t have to worry about a thing when I got there. I definitely will be back.

This hotel was recently renovated. A true representation of what a Holiday Inn Express should look and feel like. I admired the facility, modern and spacious areas.

— Rooms have modern décor
— Plenty of electrical connections
— Good lighting & Desk

— Will hear noises from rooms above

Relatively new interior in great shape. Comfy beds, ample breakfast buffet, fastest hotel Internet I have ever used. Close to slopes.
I will be back!

This is newly a Holiday Inn Express, having been the Pinnacle for many years, whose reviews are still online. It is still having some renovations in the entry area, but the interior is done from what I could see. It is in a good location for both Winter Park and the Fraser, Tabernash area, if you want to xc ski at Devils Thumb but stay somewhere less expensive. I do like fine destination resorts, but sometimes you just want a quick, easy, less expensive option.
This fits the bill around here. The staff was friendly, check in was quick, parking lot well plowed, a central elevator to the rooms. Our room was very tidy and clean. All the furnishings are obviously brand new and nicely done. A few remnants of the older style are apparent in the bathroom, but it is quite functional and clean and well maintained. All newly painted in trendy neutrals. Great HD TV reception and channel selection. No problems with heat or noise. There is a small continental breakfast available in the lobby and included in the very fair room rate. It was adequate for my husband. I am not much for food too early, so do know there is a Starbucks in the Safeway, just across the parking lot. Just across the road (US 40) is a quick pizza place for dinner after skiing or to take out to your room, separate review to follow.
I will definitely stay here again when I just need a place to sleep between two quick ski days and not looking for a pampered vacation spot.

I had a very good four night stay here. The staff was very friendly and professional. They allow pets but I didn’t notice any pet smells. Good location, right on a bus line and a cool fire pit that burns all night out front.

The hotel was recently renovated. We stayed in a suite that had a separate bedroom and a living room with a sleeper couch. This was a great room for families. We had a TV in each one of the rooms so kids could watch their shows on one and I could use the other one. The hotel is across the street from Safeway, and near some restaurants. It provided a good value for the money and had breakfast included that was similar to what the Hampton Inn serves. There was also an outside fireplace although it needs some nicer seating for guests to be able to enjoy it. The pool was fine and the kids used it, it is a bit small and can get crowded. The front desk people were helpful and also provided us with some coupons for nearby restaurants and ski shops.

Room was very loud heard every time the kids upstairs got up. Shuttle to ski resort was actually the city bus that was a beat up school bus.
