Salon Indigo Aveda

Went in seeing the sign «Walk ins welcome» but they were a little busy. Friendly receptionist though; penciling me in for a little later. Came back for my appointment, to a very nice, friendly stylist. For once, someone got my hair right. Even my regular stylist and good friend couldn’t do that. Will definitely come back again; seeing’s they are just down the street, and the service was great. Took really good care of me the whole way. I noticed a few bad reviews on another site; of which none were about the stylist, or the hair cuts. Those all got 5 stars. Also, the price was on par with other places in the area (I paid about $ 24). Highly recommend from me.

Update on another attempt at follow up visit.
Disappointment again. As I was setting up the appointment, I mentioned I wanted to use freshly purchased groupon and was told by receptions (Melani again???) that they will not honor that because I already used a group. I said the previous group was expired when I used it so I did not get promotional price. She said this new groupon is for new customers only.
So, ciao bambino, I set up appointment at another salon. I am kind of over this useless person’s attitude.
Owners and stylist: this woman is killing your business!

I have moved around the country a lot in the last several years and have always looked to Aveda Salons for my cuts and highlights but I am sorry to say that I tried two different stylists at Salon Indigo and decided to go elsewhere after the 2^nd person botched my highlights.
The first stylist placed the highlights so far from my scalp that upon leaving the salon it looked like I had a month of outgrowth. I might have given her the benefit of the doubt had she made pleasant conversation with me during my appointment but she did not. I actually felt uncomfortable and awkward sitting in her chair while she did my hair…
The second stylist I tried at Salon Indigo was much more fun to chat with but made a nightmare of my hair. Not only did the highlights turn out completely clumpy and uneven but along my temples, she didn’t get anywhere near the scalp! I had giant dark spots on the sides! There was no possible way to part my hair to cover the mess until I went back to have it fixed. When I did go back for a correction she popped a few more highlights in to «fix» the problem areas but still left me with a mess that will take several more rounds of highlights to recover from!
I hate to trash anyone on Unilocal but beware of highlights at Salon Indigo :-(I realize they were picking up a new head of hair but these issues were so technical that I feel fair warning to my fellow Unilocalers is due!

For hair this is a great salon by both appointment and walk-​in. It is the only place I trust for my simple hair style and have never been disappointed. I like the fact it is an Aveda salon as I used an Aveda salon exclusively when I lived overseas for awhile. So some of this is a comfort issue. It is clean, bright and never smells like a chemical induced salon. However, it is a bit small and can be crowded especially near a holiday. I don’t get my nails done there because it is a cramped location right in the middle of the hair area which doesn’t make it comfortable for me. If they moved to a larger location with a separated nail area I’d get my nails done there as well because all the beauticians are professional and friendly.

Awesome salon: clean, smells heavenly; great Aveda products and specials; friendly, helpful staff. Only drawback is it’s small size. It gets a little cramped when it gets busy.

Special Lighting, Stunning Hardwood Floors and a Gorgeous Staff of TRAINED Stylists who I know regularly attend Hair shows, classes & seminars & Have AVEDA Representatives Come in approx every 6 – 8 weeks for on site training to assure each CLient/​Guest is getting the latest greatest treatment… all under the watchful leadership of Miss Renee F.
Kathy is my Favorite Magician there!
