Be cautious when consigning with this place. I had consigned a group of items and when I followed up to see if they sold I was told everything had sold and nothing was left for me to pickup. When I received my check many of my items had not sold. I followed up with an email for an explanation but received no answer. When I called trying to reach the owner a very rude gentleman prevented me from reaching her. They are very unorganized and I would avoid dealing with them.

I have shopped here many times, but today had a truly rude and appalling customer service experience while shopping with my family. One of the associates, a younger lady with brown hair, yelled and berated us while we were checking out, for throwing some empty Rita’s cups away in the trashcan of their public restroom… She placed the trashcan on the counter while we were trying to buy a few things and it was truly one of the most unprofessional and rude things I have ever been subjected to. Not a good way to run a business or keep customers coming back. In addition, the inventory is in most cases disorganized. After my experience today it is really not worth it to sort through all the stuff to find a few good things AND deal with the rude people working there.

This place is worth a look if you are hunting used furniture… but it is inching toward more junk than decent used and useful furniture. Much more glass, dishes and smalls than the last time we were there, makes it hard to find the furniture for the STUFF. Also seems much more disorganized, maybe we hit a day when they were moving items around but it was a mess. Like everyone else, no one asked if they could assist but we really just wanted to poke around… HAD we wanted to make a purchase hopefully they would have stepped up. We see lots of people loading up trucks with assistance. Just disappointed that the quality we saw in the beginning is not there like it was… maybe that will change again as new consignments come in. Perhaps they need to turn away some of the trashier stuff…

I went to this consignment store looking for a bookshelf hoping to avoid Ikea or Paymore and Flannigan. The inventory looked promising altogether, but on closer inspection, it seemed more like glorified Goodwill. Lots of press board stuff and glassy, brassy stuff from the 80s. And to top it off, I went into the back room with my toddler, and granted she had me a bit bedraggled that day, but it’s not like I was dressed like a total ragamuffin. I saw a beautiful red threaded quilt that was just carelessly tossed in a dusty pile. I asked a man who was moving stuff around with a hand truck if he knew how I could find out the price(because NOTHING is tagged) and he lifted his eyebrows and looked me up and down and said after a weighted pause, «everything in this room is *really* expensive.» I didn’t immediately process the fact that I’d just had an Oprah moment and was pegged as some kind of insolvent hillbilly, so I jokingly said, «Oh, then I just better get out of here.» So I did and as I continued to peruse the bookshelves(that all looked like leftovers from the Brady Bunch set, it dawned on me that I was just insulted in the most demeaning and demoralizing way, and I started getting angrier and angrier and my whole face must have turned beet red, but I just mumbled insults at the furniture under my breath and gave the clerks in their weird central cashier pulpit dirty looks on my way out. They couldn’t care less. They were too busy trying to elevate themselves from their in-store customer riff raff.

I love coming here during the weekend. It’s like a trip through centuries and continents, an ever changing museum without entrance fee. I know some folks complain about the customer service, i.e. not being asked if they need help etc. I don’t mind at all that nobody is breathing down my neck while I’m in the store. If you need help or info in an item, you just need to ask. I’m always happy to find some random midcentury pieces in the store. There is a new seller in the back part of the store, he has only midcentury stuff, however — overpriced for this area, we are not in NYC. He doesn’t adjust the prices after 30 days, like the main store. Definitely try it out if you are looking for something different and want some quality furniture that still shows the art of furniture making. Or if you are just looking for a soup bowl from the 40s.

I agree completely with another reviewer who said the female salesperson in the store(young early 20’s, dark haired woman) is extremely rude and unprofessional. I consigned there about a year ago and will never return to this place again. The female had an attitude right from the minute I walked into the shop. She acted as if I was bothering her by asking her to help me unload a few items to consign. The employees(not sure if it was her) stuck my table & chairs in the back corner of the store with multiple items on it(that were not mine). Needless to say, it took months for it to sell. I had a hard time finding it myself. When I asked about displaying the pieces in a better way, the female blurted out«we can’t do that!» with a displeased look on her face. She did not give me an explanation. The huge weakness with this Resellers Consignment is the customer service. This needs to be worked on.

I’m a big fan, but not of one of the employees who works there. She is curt and unwelcoming and does not make you want to spend a dime. The gentlemen are cool and helpful and I enjoy the fact that they always have new inventory coming into the store. I have furnished a lot of my home with purchases made here.

We’ve been here several times. Mainly antiques. Lovely yes, but over priced on the majority of items. Many items not tagged. NOT air conditioned. Will go back one more time-maybe.

My fiancé and I went in to browse with our friend. We came out three hours later with an awesome hutch for our dining room. I’m sure this hutch would have been in the $ 800-$ 1000 range at a typical furniture store, but we got it for $ 300 and it was excellent shape. No work needed! If you don’t have a truck or van to carry the bigger items, you can buy it and pick it up at a later time. Definitely worth checking out before you head out to the furniture store.

I want to rate this store higher because they really have nice things and I was about 6 degrees away from buying the most kickin’ couch but owners, please you MUST greet your customers!!! I walked around this store for 30 minutes and NOBODY said BOO! When I walked past the counter and tried to make eye contact, the woman could not look up from her TEXTING! I don’t want you to hold my hand, but say«yo» when I walk in the front door or at some point during the half hour I spend in your establishment. They have many NICE things and reasonable prices. You’re not going to find a $ 50 couch here, but you will find a really nice couch for $ 400 that somebody probably paid $ 2000 for, which means it was custom, with high grade fabric, loose fitted back cushions(EXTRA $$$). You will find Asian inspired screens, really unusual dining room sets that are clearly from some former Philadelphia sports player’s abode. They have art, rugs, furniture for every room and some very nice antiques. I found a Harden serving cabinet that didn’t have a price, but it was probably reasonable. They also have china and other collectibles. Would have bought that pair of Fitz and Floyd Cranes that I am collecting if someone could have been bothered to see if I needed help getting them out of the glass case. Must have given off the lookee loo vibe today because this was the second consignment shop i went to today where I was ignored. Check them out anyway if you’re looking for quality on the cheap.
