From the ambiance to the gracious male staff and wonderful chef who explained all the dishes to the phenomenal food, this place is the best! I would go back every day and I can’t wait to try everything on the menu!

Wow! The When Tofu Meets Cashew was delicious! It’s like a stuff empanadas drizzled with sauce. The zucchini bread is sliced to hand sized nuggets and crisped to perfection and paired well with a dipping sauce. Better than Native food, Sage and Veggie grill. Came back the next day for the curry and the one other vegan dessert. Curry was flavorful but I would get the When Tofu Meets Cashew and the zucchini bread again next time.

Worth the drive from I-5 at top of the Grapevine in Frazier Park. I had the special pizza chicken-less tikka. The crust was great and masala tasty, tofu like you expect it and topped with home made cheese, onions and cilantro. All the ingredients were in perfect proportion. My wife ordered the chef’s special veggie stew which came with tapioca pudding for dessert. My daughter ordered Pad Thai which she thoroughly enjoyed. We were early so first table and the staff was extra attentive. The live music by Chris Cornelius was a nice mix of indo asian improv and rock, see .

Thanks to Unilocal we found this hidden gem! We would drive up from LA again for this place. We enjoyed a delicious and hearty Indian meal. Our family of five vegetarians were so happy with our meal and the environment. The samosas are perfect. The only thing better than the tofu curry was the service. We felt like family. Love this place. A must if you’re nearby.

Had my second meal here tonight & just as wonderful as the first time! I brought my sister & she loved it too. This time we had the pakora(deep fried veggies, kind of similar to tempura), pad Thai, naan & tofu curry. Wonderful happy atmosphere & delicious food! I am not a vegetarian but love this gem of a restaurant. Highly recommend Red Dot.

This heart warming restaurant in an unexpected town was a pure gift to discover. The food is made with pure love and service. This is not just your run of the mill vegetarian restaurant. The food is masterfully presented and delicious all with an Indian and Asian flair. We had the squash soup and a chick pea roti, yum! In addition to the beautiful food, the people that run this restaurant have a loving glow that is very contagious :).

Food: delicious. Entire place smells amazing. Service is kind, and the setup is intimate and cute. Of note: coconut hot chocolate(possibly seasonal /not always on hand). Ridiculously rich coconut milk. Amazing. Will return for this alone.

This place has been open less than a year but the food is so amazing you would never know it. You don’t have to be a vegetarian to love this restaurant. We found it on Unilocal,it had great reviews so we decided to try it. You can’t get a real feel for what it’s going to be like by looking at it from the outside, but once you get inside you immediately feel welcomed. I wish I would’ve taken pictures of the inside so other Unilocalers could see how warm and inviting it is. We ordered the pad Thai, Spring rolls, and three bean chili. First out was the spring rolls, light and refreshing with two delicious dipping sauces. We knew from the first bite we made a great decision to stop in for lunch. The 3 bean chili was outstanding, the bowl was huge but so good I wanted eat every bit of it! The Pad Thai did not disappoint, flavorful and cooked perfectly. There isn’t a negative thing I can think to say about this place, so 5 stars is fitting.

I found this place on Unilocal. It has 5* reviews and it’s not hard to see why! Amazing food. I stopped here the night before a challenging Bicycle ride. I tried the Saag-Paneer and the Aloo Paratha. I couldn’t finish it all. The Saag-Paneer(Spinach-Cheese) is exquisite. The cheese is clearly made fresh and the spinach was awesome. The aloo paratha is too huge to be finished in one setting — came with a sweet chutney. I don’t have a sweet tooth, perhaps they have a spicier chutney; you’ll need to ask. I suspect if they don’t have a spicey chutney, they’d make one just for you! And the chai was amazing. This place rocks!

Yum — wonderful vegetarian food and the special drinks are healthy and delicious. Had the red elixir which was fabulous. A cross of Indian and vegetarian & gluten free. Wonderful spiritual staff. A real gem in the desolate town of Frazier Park

An oasis away from the highway 5 food desert, worth a diversion for lunch if you are in the area. Wonderful, healthy, vegetarian food with the vibe of an ashram. The folks running the place are very sweet and into the purity of the food and the human connection.

Bottom line: two coffee and chai snobs were both amply satisfied with the offerings here. The special multigrain waffle was hearty and incredibly satisfying without being a dough brick. Ask for coconut topping on the side and dip, rather than the standard slathering which gets a bit mushy after a few mins.

Really great saag paneer + naan. My only qualm: I wish they’d done a little better with the«I’m just here to eat and really don’t feel like chatting» body language I was trying to radiate in all directions. Sorry, sometimes I just really don’t want to have lingering menu-related interactions.

We came here for breakfast one morning. The coffee and potatoes were my favorite parts. The coffee seriously. Yum. If you have kids, just order toast and perhaps some fresh fruit. My kids are adventurous eaters normally, but the pancakes come covered in coconut milk and they just couldn’t stomach them. Honestly, I couldn’t either. Mushy food and I don’t get along. The ambiance of this place is everything a tiny mountain café should be. Homelike. Cozy. Fresh. Inviting. The owner was there that morning too and is just incredible. She told us more about their weekly events and we wish we were up that direction more often. I bet dinner is amazing.
