I went here around 5pm. The service was great despite the after work rush. I don’t understand the negative reviews. I’ve been here several times over the past few years and there is never a problem. The place is clean and the ice cream is always delicious.

I have been going to this store since I was born and my family went before that too. It was usually great until my last 2 visits. When I went in may for my moms bday they offered to make her cake the day of since they didnt have one ready. I never asked them too but when the woman offered I was only more than happy to accept. I went back in July for my dads bday and they were rude. I understand they need to set a policy for cake ordering and they need 48 hours notice. But the gentleman wasn’t very nice about it at all. When my dad went and placed an order for this coming monday October 6^th, They said the cake decorator doesnt come in until monday and that the weekend doesnt count at 48 hours. I call BULL because I myself went and ordered my cake I have been getting for what will be 22 years at the store in Urbana and they accepted my order online and I called in to make sure the cake had my cherries on top and they were more than happy to help me make sure that was confirmed.

Maybe I got lucky but I don’t get the bad reviews. JV and I went around 9:30 pm after a 100 degree day and it was fairly busy. Still, we were greeted right away by the teengage worker and were in and out in 5 minutes.
Don’t know if it’s permanent but they have a deal that if you buy 2 scoops you get a free waffle cone. I decided not to indulge that much but enjoyed my scoop of Rocky Road, my second favorite from childhood. Unfortunately, they were out of my favorite, mint chocolate chip but it looks like I’ll live.

What else is there to say? Rude service, they act like they’re doing ME a favor when I’m the one paying.
I ordered two pints to go home with, both had ice cream dripping out of the sides. Just messy.
I love the ice cream but the management needs a make over, ASAP!

Recently purchased an ice cream cake here. Very expensive! Their smallest cake, which I believe was 6 inch round, was $ 22. Unfortunately I didn’t have time to run around Frederick and get a better deal. So I bought an oreo ice cream cake ($ 29). The ice cream was good, but the icing was terrible.

I usually prefer the little mom and pop Ice cream shops but this place reminded me of the times from my youth getting ice cream with friends after a special event. It’s A-​Ok with me
