This ballpark looks just like the ballpark where the Bowie Baysox play. The game we went to this evening was Seinfeld night and they had the soup nazi from the show making an appearance and signing autographs. Fireworks were after the game and before the fireworks all the children got to run the bases on field. Minor League baseball is a great piece of Americana. I love these ballparks. It takes you back to a simpler time with a small town feel. Parking is free when you go to a game. And they have a large play zone for the children. If you never been to a minor league game and enjoy seeing baseball being played by players chasing their dream to make it to the big leagues one day, go! Also it’s a great way to introduce kids to baseball for a fraction of what it would cost to go to a Baltimore orioles or Washington nationals game.

This was my fourth time here. This was my forth game in my Birdland Passport baseball road trip. It is a nice place to see a game and easy to get to the park. Had thunder storms an hour before that game that cooled off the temp and made it great baseball weather. The folks that work the game are friendly and helpful. Got picked to play«pick the celebrity hair» for a prize pack in between inings. It was great fun standing on the dug out and get help from the other fans when I would not figure out who the hair belonged to. It was foam finger give-a-away since Chief Bran Voltaggio(his face was on the foam finger) took over one of the food stands with his menu of ball park food. I went with the soft-shell crab soft tocos, that were very tasty. I always impressed with what they come up with in theme night, contests, and give-a-ways at the minor league games I attend.

We live in Leesburg, but had never been to a Keys game. I decided to take my son last Friday evening. He is 9 and a baseball player, so I have been wanting to take him. But he can be a bit funny and was not too excited. He asked if we went if we had to stay for the whole game if he got bored. Well — OK. When we got there he confessed he thought we were going to see a little league game. HA! He loved it. The atmosphere was more intimate than a MLB game, we got to meet and get autographs from many players, had great seats and he was totally into the game. He loved it so much that he woke me the next morning begging to go back. So we were there Sunday, too! He is not done and is looking forward to visiting again in the future — next time with people other than«just me».

Positives: 1) Easy to get to 2) Free Parking(which is rare) 3) Every seat is great Negatives: 1) Food was pricey($ 17 for two hotdogs, a bottled water, and a large soda) 2) The game I attended easily had less than 200 people there and an usher was bothering me asking to see my ticket because I was sitting behind the dugout(I had the ticket for the actual seat. However, the last thing I need is to be harassed when trying to relax at the ballpark) 3) Had a security guard with a power trip who had to go through my entire camera bag at the gate(Again, I’m not smuggling in beer or outside food. I’m not sure who does. Between this guy and the usher I did not at all come away with a fan-friendly experience!!)

About as entertaining as Frederick gets. Kind of like a major league game, but in a smaller stadium. Fewer bells and whistles as far as entertainment goes(the«between-play» entertainment is a little redundant, mostly putting the camera on the crowd). Main complaint: the speaker system can be incomprehensible. But, for the cost($ 9 – 10 for bleacher seats, $ 12 for actual seats), its definitely worth going. Fireworks(check the schedule to see which nights have them) are pretty good. And surprisingly, getting out of the parking lot afterwards isn’t a total zoo. Just watch out for service charges(add $ 2/ticket day of, $ 7.50 per order if purchased online – even far in advance). The internet convenience charge doesn’t show up until after you purchase them, surprise.

This park is easy enough to get to from I-70 with FREE parking! The main seating is split. On the 1st and 3rd baselines the lower seats are actual seats then behind those further up there are metal bleachers(that have back support). Closer to home plate, this area is all seats. There are a few suites — maybe 12 available from what I can remember. This is a smaller stadium but not bad for what it is. We purchased SEATS on the 1st baseline for $ 14 each. The night that we attended a game they did have fireworks which started shortly after the game ended and lasted about 15 minutes.

Come for the baseball stay for te antics. Great cheap family fun but is also as exciting as watching paint dry Traffic can also be a beast on busy nights and the bleachers are as comfy as sitting on rocks. Bring a blanket or seat cushion. Also sneaking food in is cheaper than $ 20 for a beer and a dog. Sorry. I hate saying that but damn if it isn’t the truth. Just don’t try to smuggle anything in you plan to eat in yet under-britches.

This is another fairly new stadium, but more like Wilmington then Winston-Salem. Has a lot of charm. It’s the high class A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles. They play in the Carolina League. It’s one of my favorite high class A stadiums. Delmarva is the low A stadium of the Orioles and is amazing.

Going to a Keys game is a great family experience. I feel like it’s a good value for the money, the kids are safe & have many activities to choose from while the parents can enjoy a beer, great food & watch the game! The silly contests & activities aside from the actual game are fun to keep everyone interested… especially as baseball can be a loooong game sometimes :) Give it a try with your family & have fun locally!
