I have been putting this off for a while but I have the need and obligation to warn any potential patients. This is by far the worst practice for women’s clinic. The staff here treat you horribly half the time. There is a stupid rule that children cannot be present in the ultrasound room therefore fathers cannot see there unborn child. Of course your not informed of this prior to your wife’s scheduled ultrasound appointment. Oh and if your AD military expect to be treated with second hand service just because you have TriCare or Johns Hopkins for insurance. This place is crap and is seriously due some customer service training regulations reform.

This group is actually part of Capital Women’s Care, by the way. They’re the Frederick group, but it’s all part of that same health system(they have offices in other cities). I’ve delivered 3 children with these providers, in 2010, 2012, and 2014. Overall, I have been extremely happy with them. A few times I’ve had less than stellar appointments/interactions with a doctor, one of the nurse practitioners, one of the sonographers(who I believe is no longer there), or the office staff, but the treatment from my favorite doctors(listed below) negates any of that, and in general, everyone has been great and I don’t have any complaints(I mean, everyone has a bad day here and there, so I don’t hold my very rare less-than-five-star interactions against them). The doctors have been respectful and proficient in treating me and my babies in utero, and truly listened to any concerns or questions I had. They’ve always been friendly and knowledgeable, up-to-date on medical recommendations, and explained things concisely any time I’ve asked. I’ve always felt I could trust them implicitly, which is important to me in a provider. Dr. Brian Heyman performed an extremely skillful ECV when my second child was breech, and each of my deliveries were wonderful, particularly my last delivery, when the skill of Dr. Thomas-Spencer was truly amazing in delivering my daughter through an alarming situation. My favorite providers are/were Dr. Thomas-Spencer, Dr. Brian Heyman, Dr. Amy Heyman, Dr. Ezeike, and Dr. Akhigbe. I would certainly recommend them to anyone looking for an Ob/Gyn provider in the area, and am truly grateful for their care.

I’ve seen a few of their docs, and I’ll never go anywhere else. Mostly female doctors, friendly, easy to talk to.
