Came here looking for maternity clothes and was disappointed that I couldn’t find anything. There were only two racks of maternity clothes. Despite that, we bought a couple of other baby items. The prices are reasonable. The staff were friendly and helpful. It’s a cute place and was quite crowded when as visited on a Saturday. Parking is limited.

Super cute little consignment shop with lots to offer! All the baby clothes you could want for cheap, and some maternity clothes as well. I’m glad I live in VA or else I’d visit every day!!!

I was beyond excited to find a good baby and maternity consignment store in Frederick! The store can be hard to spot since it’s in a re-​appropriated house instead of the usual storefront but we found it with the help of GPS (hint– look for the big silver factory or whatever it is).
It could just be beginner’s luck but I found exactly what I was looking for! I bought a mint condition wool peacoat, light fall sweater, and yoga pants for myself. For baby, I scored NIB Sperrys for $ 12 that are 3 times that price at Nordstrom or J Crew. The store is very well organized– the selection starts on your left with the maternity corner, followed by newborn clothing progressing up to toddler sizes. Head upstairs for big kid sizes and even a «juniors corner» where slimmer moms could easily find something for themselves as well.
During my visit this week, Lucy’s had plenty of Halloween costumes and even a few Christmas outfits ranging from red and green sleepers to fancy schmancy dresses and suits. I will definitely be checking back for Baby’s first Christmas outfit!
One drawback is that Lucy’s does not have a fitting room or even mirrors around so you’ll do better if you have an idea of what size you are in various maternity brands before going over. To me, the low prices and good condition made up for that, as well as the 7 day exchange policy (as long as you leave the store tag on). The staff is friendly and cheerful as well– ask them any questions you have!

I’d like to give a higher review but after shopping here for a few years now and feeling the same way each time I had to make it lower. They do indeed have a wonderful selection of near perfect condition items however I’ve noticed the prices going up lately. I could buy new clothing for about the same prices. Also, the thing that really gets me is the snotty attitude I’ve encountered there more than just a few times. I’m a frequent customer and often feel like an inconvenience to them and their fancy store.

Great spot for gently-​used baby and children’s items. I went in after a friend recommended the shop, and I am so happy to now know about Lucy’s! On my first visit, the owner warmly greeted me and showed me around, told me how the shop works. There are two locations, I have been to both. Both stores are meticulously organized, clean, and easy to navigate. Huge selection of clothing from age 0-​teen (and probably beyond). They even have a wonderful little corner dedicated to maternity wear, nursing bras, and literature. I used this location before my baby was born and loaded up on many adorable outfits and accessories for very reasonable prices. The staff is very discerning regarding what they will accept to consign, so everything in the store looks new and is on point with current trends and demands. Selection changes daily, so come often is there is something in particular you are searching for.
