I wish I could rate Madrones ZERO stars. Why? Because when the staff is blatantly racist, they don’t deserve any stars. I went in with a group of 5 people. 4 Asians and 1 Caucasian. Immediately, the hostess was not accommodating. She looked around the restaurant and said they were fully booked even though half of the restaurant was empty. Anyone could see that. We waited for 20 minutes before we were even greeted by Dan(or Eric?). Can’t remember his name. He was super rude, super slow, and super mean. He got our orders, never said«you’re welcome» when we all said«thank you», and never checked up on us to see how we were doing. The rest of the servers were equally as rude. 2 blonde servers screamed«EXCUSEME» and rolled their eyes as we were getting up to leave after we paid. If you are not clearly Caucasian, DON’T COMEHERE. Everyone working at this establishment will think they are holier than thou.

Excellent meal this evening at Madrones. Tonight I ordered the Evil Jungle salad — an entrée salad with beef tips, avocado, and. peanuts. I highly recommend this amazing salad. I’m halfway tempted to order one to go. So good.

I ordered the filet and my husband ordered the prime rib. It was delicious. It was tender and juicy and a most incredible flavor. Key lime pie was delicious. Server was attentive and very nice. We had a great date night.

This rather new restaurant in the Wegman’s Plaza is a Real Winner. The food is predictably delicious — 8 people and each one more-than-satisfied with the presentation, food quality, and quantity. High end furnishings and wide choice of seating options — around the bar or at high top or regular tables. The service staff is either well-trained, or simply inately good at it! Courteous, prompt, funny, and accurate. A great choice for luncheons on rather tight schedules. Prices are reasonable and more than justified by the whole Madrone’s experience. Do go, and if you’re extremely lucky, your waitress will be Ms. By-The-Way.

First time reviewer, had to sign up to review our waitress, Elizabeth! She was very sweet the whole time, refilled our waters without us asking first, and anticipated our needs before we even had a chance to ask her! Highly recommended this restaurant and Elizabeth!

Stopped by for the Sunday brunch and found the food and service to great. We were greeted at the door and seated promptly. The employees are very friendly and organized and our waitress Nina was right on the money. Being in the service business i expect more and Matrones delivered, this is the type of resteraunt I would have if I opened one.

Mediocre At Best My first visit. Best thing about this restaurant is the enticing smell of wood smoke it generates. Calling the food mediocre is a compliment. Stopped in for lunch… ordered a combination plate containing half a club sandwich, a cup of soup, and the chopped salad. The cup of soup… Maryland crab… was old and worn out and over salted and tasted like it had been sitting in the remains of the soup pot since the week before. One spoonful and the rest was untouched. The chopped salad arrived luke-warm and also looked and tasted like it had been assembled and tossed the day before… like leftovers. The club? Fatty bacon, turkey and some unknown cheese. Who knows… maybe dinners are better. Funny, but my BFF, who told me 2 years ago not to bother… is once again right on the mark.

I have been here multiple times since my last review. It seems they are back to cooking burgers to proper temp! Well done! Keep it up!

You know how you’re sometimes afraid to try a new place because you’re usually disappointed and mad at yourself that you didn’t go to your go-to? This place helped me with my new restaurant trust issues. Everything about the experience was superb! We put our name in on a Friday night and were told there was going to be about a 30 minute wait for two, which is not bad at all in my opinion. The place was busy, but everyone seemed on top of their game. We ended up snagging a few spots at the bar and decided to eat there instead. First of all, the bar staff is incredible. So accommodating, friendly, and efficient! Our drinks were never empty and they made really good food suggestions. We tried the wings, which were definitely good, but not earth-shattering. My husband liked them more than I did. He’d order them again, but I think I’d skip it in order to have room next time for some of desserts that look and sound amazing. Hubs had the ribeye which was a HUGE cut of cow on a plate. They cooked it perfectly, and paired it with a delicious baked potato and roasted mushrooms. I barely got a bite he was enjoying it so much! I ordered the marinated grilled filet medallions which came on a bed of garlic mashed potatoes, spinach, corn, and mushrooms, all kind of mixed together in a spicy(ish) cream sauce. OUTOFTHISWORLD. So, so good, and the portion was huge, so I had a sizable lunch the next day as well. 5⁄5 stars would eat again. We didn’t have room for dessert, but I plan on picking my next entrée based on getting a dessert afterwards. Sad, I know. But the cheesecake looked amazeballs. Don’t judge. Hearty, delicious, filling«American» food whatever that means). This place did not disappoint! We will absolutely return.

I have been to Madrones a few times. I haven’t been disappointed, but the prices are definitely not so favorable. This most recent time, we got wings as a appetizer, and the«double order» was definitely not worth $ 20. The crab was around $ 13, and it is also a pretty small portion. For my meal, I got the fish tacos. The tacos were good. My brother got the Sedona chicken sandwich, and again the portion was small for $ 11. The sandwich is mostly the oversized roll and the chicken breast is measly. My mom got the kale cranberry salad, but to add a bit of chicken is like $ 6? I wouldn’t come here more than a few times a year, because I think it is a rip-off, but the food is good.

Literally the best burgers I’v ever had in my life!!! The french sliders are by far the very best tasting, extremely juicy and great quality. They don’t have them on the menu anymore but I had heard so much about them, so I had to insist on ordering them. Great service, great atmosphere, and excellent food.

I got the prime rib au jus — the meat was tough and the«au jus» sauce was SOYSAUCE !!! Even smelled like soy sauce — for $ 20. Won’t be back again — then the little waiter tried to make me feel stupid

20 minutes to clear and set a table for 5 people. 2 parties of 2 waiting in the lobby. Certainly not an overly busy time. So beyond any understable reason, just clearly no sense of urgency. My 2 daughters who have been severs were just as surprised as I about the very poor service.

The food is good for the most part. I really like their wings. It gets crowded at night so be sure to call ahead and get on the waiting list. They don’t do reservations.

Had dinner last night and was worth the wait. Dishes have good blend of flavors and spices. I had lemon snapper with scallops and shrimp in a spicy shrimp sauce. This is not a dish for mild at heart diners. It was great. Fresh veggies and garlic potatoes. Had goat cheese brûlée as appetizer and it was very good. Chicken Caesar salad nicely prepared. All our food came out hot and everyone enjoyed their entrée.

This place was just ok. Got there for dinner on a Tuesday night and the hostess said it would be a 30 minute wait… but half the restaurant looked empty :/they sat us after about 15 minutes. Our waiter was nice… but seemed inexperienced. He couldn’t easily tell us about the beer choices. He had to go ask about some we inquired about. We ordered the fried calamari as an appetizer, it was a bit salty for my liking. The bread was warm and pretty good. My husband and I shared the portobello pasta dish and added grilled chicken. It was pretty good. The veggies were cooked until tender crisp… just like I like, thumbs up there. Overall, nothing was amazing. Probably won’t be returning.

I’ve wanted to try this place for a long time so we decided to go for Sunday brunch. The atmosphere is clean and cozy. I called the night before to ask if I needed a reservation and to check when they started serving alcohol. I was told 10:00am. We got there at 10:00am and were told they don’t serve alcohol until 11:00. :-/well ohh well no bloody Mary’s with my brunch. I ordered the eggs Benedict Chesapeake but I received the eggs Benedict with bacon :-/I asked for the waitress to correct my order and they did. The eggs Benedict Chesapeake was not bad, very flavorful. One egg was cooked perfectly one was over cooked and didn’t run at all. The waitress was very nice and apologetic and they did not charge us for the eggs Benedict however, I was disappointed overall. I may try Madrones again later down the road.

I’m not sure how I’m supposed to feel about this place. One one hand it has rustic aesthetic and dim lighting for an intimate mood, but on the other it has a bar smack in the middle of the dining area, surrounded by flat screens with sports on. Sports bars are fine, but this pretty much kills the atmosphere of the«upscale» intimate mood. The food was okay. The rolls brought to the table as an appetizer were stale, but the chicken sandwich I got was pretty good and the sweet potato casserole side I ordered was awesome, albeit not for those who are sensitive to sweetness; this thing is diabetes in a bowl. I think«aioli» is the Food Network term in season right now because it seemed like half the menu items were served with some sort of aioli sauce, including my sandwich. I don’t want to come down too hard on this place because I’m sure in some circles this place would be fine dining, but anyone with a bit of diversity in their restaurant outing experiences could tell that this is pretty much three star chain dining with fancier décor.
