The food was great, and I look forward to siting outside when the weather warms up a bit. My only other comment would be that the lighting was a little bright for dinner service, but very minor comment.

I’ve walked by this place several time and finally decided to go since one of my friends swears by it… Why did I wait so long? Silly me! This place is awesome. Cute little restaurant. Not to many seats inside but they have a lot of patio space outside for spring/summer/fall. The spicy lentil soup was amazing, packed with flavor! Bruschetta was so so fresh and excellent for sure, one more slice of bread wouldn’t hurt. Gyro was perfect! I don’t know how else to describe this place other than perfect, amazing, delicious, just try it. The staff was extremely nice and prices are affordable and very much worth it !

3 for service(friendly college kid named Glen did a fine job almost by himself) but 2 for mediocre food– not ‘bad’, but just barely average. I have to agree with many of the negative comments in the very mixed recent reviews like-‘disappointed in food’, ‘tasteless and plain’, ‘very little flavor’. Its also very hard to find, stuck in the middle of a busy(judging by parking) concrete jungle mall(good for handicapped, but unattractive, no green space), with many other food choices nearby. I might come again to try something else instead of going to a nearby chain, but I wouldn’t go out of my way. It was a midway place to meet a friend there for Friday lunch at 130; she’s been here for the warm apple spinach salad that she likes, but never had traditional Greek food before, and I love it! So, we got the last empty table in the place, and I ordered for us both. The pita is hot and puffy from the oven, although it’s on the thick side; the hummus was smooth and mildly tasty and plenty to share, but it was the only item we both enjoyed, every thing else missed the mark in some way. My friend didn’t care for the taste of the falafel(green with? herbs but no taste of garlic, onion, or spices), took one bite and pushed it away; I just found it over fried in too hot oil, the brown crust so hard that it felt and sounded like you were cracking a tooth biting into it.(Even after covering with tahini and 2 days in the frig. at home it didn’t soften.) The spinach fatayer(pastry) was also disappointing; it had an overly thick chewy crust, and although the spinach had a pleasant taste of lemon, there were no pine nuts as stated on the menu, and that’s why I ordered it. 2 of my old standbys– the chicken shawarma sandwich and lamb gyro salad– were not as expected, or in any way similar to authentic Mediterranean food I’ve had my whole life. As another reviewer said, I was ‘not too thrilled with the meat’ in the shwarma. It most assuredly wasn’t ‘marinated roasted slices’, but bland pale little shreds in short supply; overpowered by the sauce and then soggy bread, it was almost not there at all. The lamb meat in the gyro was, as others noticed, NOT formed and ‘shaved’ from a spit as it is everywhere else on the planet, it was just plain thin slivers of lamb meat, and not seasoned in any way(a little garlic would go a long way here.) While the romaine lettuce and salad dressing were all right, there was not enough onion or feta cheese to make it flavorful. I was embarrassed that I had ordered and promised my friend she would like this ethnic food. As I was enjoying a long conversational visit(and I wasn’t satiated), I ordered dessert. By this time there were only 2 other tables with patrons, but the owner/manager(sitting at a table tallying the receipts) had raised the volume of the unpleasant music so high we had to shout to each other. Then, the final insult– they were out of rice pudding! It’s unfathomable to me how you cannot make enough for the upcoming weekend, unless it only comes out of a plastic container. So we split the ‘absolute must try’(more like ‘don’t bother’) mille-feuille(you may know it as a Napoleon), but the puff pastry was not separated into layers like it should be, was so thick you couldn’t get a fork through it w/o all the custard coming out the sides. And the gelato tasted like it had been in the freezer too long. Lastly, all this cost $ 65 not including tip or alcohol! Ugh; if I didn’t think the waiter was adorable, I would have been vocal in my misgivings.

This is one of our go to places. Always a great meal. The Tuscan steak is awesome and the kabobs ate tasty. We often order the hummus appetizer and then have to take food home. The kind of place you bring people to…

For Mediterranean in Frederick, this place is the best. You can also say that this is one of the only really good places in Frederick for a salad. It is not iceberg and a pepper slice, 2 cuke slices and a soggy tomato. They actually take care here. The salads are not overdressed and definitely more fresh than you get anyplace else. On the down side, the hot apps are average at best. If you go for an app, stay with the various varieties of hummus. The entrees could use some jazzing up. Some seasonal specials would also be nice. The wait staff, while friendly when you enter, seems to spend more time in their conversation behind the register than it does ensuring you have a refill or getting your food out quicker. A few improvements inside would be nice too. It is not like the place is not clean, it is. But fountains no longer work and are more of an eyesore than anything. And it would not hurt to blow some dust off the lesser used bar bottles. So, all in all, a good sit down before a movie at Regal. You’re not going to break the bank and you’re not going to have people in the theater looking around funny when you have a lot of gas like when you eat at the Noodles and Co or Chipotle.

I simply lOVE IT! Everything is just what you wish for going to a restaurant… The food, service, and place are of excellent quality… I drive an hour just to be there! I highly recommend it! Huda J.

Had the Beef Gyro, the steak was tender and the pita bread was fresh and tasty. The service is always good here. The servers are knowledgable and friendly. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone.

From the time we got there until the time we left the atmosphere in this place is not happy. Everyone seem as if they could have been somewhere else. The food was tasteless and plain. At the time of the visit there was about 20 patrons in the place about 4 inside and the remainder on the patio. The servers were very uncaring if you were there or not. When our drink glasses were empty no refills were brought or offered. Actually, once our food was served we had no other visit to our table. If the food could have made up for the glum surrounding I would have rated this as 2-stars but 1-star is my way of being nice.

Everything tonight was wonderful. As fresh as could be – elevated home cooking, lovely service, a delicious bottle of wine. One of the rare restaurants that does a good job with vegetables, it’s a reliable favorite for our family.
