Went there a few years ago to get my son glasses. In short the prescription was wrong. Guess why, my 6 yo son was squinting in the room!!! Re-did it and got the same prescription. Sad thing is I ordered glasses and sports wear already. Screw fell out from my son’s glasses, treads went bad. Guess how they fixed it, ran a screw through and put a big fucking nut on the other end. Went someplace else to get a Rx and found his Rx was completely messed up by this place. Also rude/nasty staff!!!

Évaluation du lieu : 1 Frederick, MD
My ophthalmologist wrote me a new prescription for eyeglasses, which I took to Pearle Vision in Frederick. I also wanted contact lenses. I selected 2 frames for my glasses(I wanted a back-up pair). They were very efficient in that the optometrist was available to measure and examine my eyes for contacts. That’s when things went downhill. Upon completion of the exam, she said the results varied greatly from the ophthalmologist’s eyeglass prescription and would need to do a follow-up exam free of charge. The contact fitting and exam cost $ 61. I was a little concerned, because I trusted my ophthalmologist just a little bit more than this optometrist. So she put my entire order on hold. But the salesperson, Chong, gave me immediate instruction on inserting and removing contacts, as I had never worn them before. She was very nice, but was the only employee in the store except for a man named Jerome or Jeremy who did nothing and a black girl who appeared to be the receptionist. So Chong kept running between me and her other customers. So my training was very limited due to her attention being so divided. Chong was nice enough to give me trial lenses to try, but as I later found out, she gave me contacts that were of a very improper strength. This was very dangerous, as I drove with an inadequately weaker strength. Due to my improper training, I kept losing or tearing the trial lenses, and I was forced to repeatedly return to the store. They were so understaffed that one time, they closed in the middle of the day for lunch(2:30 in the afternoon in Frederick’s only mall). I had to wait for them to re-open. When the receptionist finally appeared, she had to call Chong, who was still out to lunch, to come help me. They then scheduled a follow-up contacts exam for a week later. This meant that nearly 3 weeks had passed since I had originally walked into Pearle, and I still had absolutely nothing. I finally had enough and called For Eyes in Frederick to schedule an exam. They were very pleasant so I called Chong and told her to cancel the exam; I was going somewhere else. Then she rushed me off the phone but did wish me luck. I then went to For Eyes, had the contacts exam and made a complete order on a Monday, and had everything completed that Friday(please see my 5-star review on Unilocal for For Eyes). In short, Pearle was understaffed, overpriced, unprofessional, and incompetent. I had used them years ago and they were very good. They have really gone downhill. I cannot recommend them Stay away!
