Owners are awesome. Have been going here for 20 years. Some employees have been there most of that time. That’s a good sign. Great beer selection. Whiskey and liquor selection is excellent. And they have a some of the best deals on wine you can find. Food… always good. Best tuna salad in Frederick, awesome grilled chicken sub… food is GOOD. And prices are absolutely reasonable. Oh, and for lovers of good, simple cup of coffee… always good here also. Cigar smokers… there is enough of a wide assortment of cigars that are VERY reasonable priced. Don’t overlook these folks for catering either. I have been to over 50 events where they have provided some or all of the catering… never disappointed!

Was in Frederick last evening and needed something quick to eat. Ordered the Italian wth everything on it. The quality for the price which was $ 6.77 including tax is excellent, much better than subway since they use real meat. The place is mostly a liqour store but the little deli counter always delivers. Highly recommend.

I hadn’t been here in a couple years, mainly due to the fact that their wine prices are high & they were out of stock of Kahlua the last time I was there.
But this time I went there to get something to eat. I remembered their shrimp salad was superb with big chunks of fresh shrimp so I decided to try it again. What a disappointment. It was made of the little canned shrimp and way too much Old Bay, even for a native Baltimorean. I also got a small salad which ended up being a big bowl of iceberg lettuce, ½ boiled egg, 1 grape tomato & ½ slice of swiss cheese for $ 2.99.
On a positive note — the wings were delicious (though over-​priced).

The owner of this restaurant /​liquor store knows his stuff. We talked about wine and beer for 20 minutes and he helped me with every selection. He said that he knew his stuff because of his heritiage. This is what he told me «I’m 60% Irish, 20% German, and a FIFTH of Scotch!» … haha. After all that help I decided to get a sandwich. The Italian sub was delicious too. Great job, Frederick, MD! I wish Nebraska had this place!
