Smile Frederick Orthodontics

My 7 year old needed his underbite corrected and we were advised to have screws (anchors) implanted in his mouth (on the bone). He began wearing the elastics prescribed, but his top and bottom teeth hit each other as the bottom teeth were being drawn back. The staff applied a blue substance which they called glue to his bottom teeth in order to «open» his bite to create space. This glue was supposed to harder and stay in place. However, it fell off literally 5 times over the course of 9 months. So my son has been wearing elastics for 9 months without improvement. His teeth are now thinned and cracked where they hit each other. Worse yet, when I told the «manager» that I wanted my son’s records because I was having his care moved elsewhere, I was told that the fee would be about 1500.00 to obtain the records. I was later told that she was lying. The staff would often schedule my son, but when I would call to confirm at a later time, I was told that there was no appt and that I was lying, etc-​what? Really? This happened countless times. Finally, when I wrote the office manager, I never received a reply. The bottom line is that this place is rude and they do not care about your child. DO NOT USE.

This orthodontics offices is chaotic and small. They do not know how to handle all the type of brackets that are out there. Becareful!!! This office has horrible turnaround time when you call and need information on your child. I have called two or three times just to get information that I had requested because I never received a call back. The doctor himself is good but he was switched during my child’s time at this location. The supervisor do not notify the customers of when the doctors leave the practice. Definitely do your research before you look at this location. They are all out money and do not treat their customers well. They over book and then when you are late they want to cancel your appointment.

Beautiful new office. Staff is friendly and helpful. Prices are better than most orthodontist that I have talked to.
