Ever had a yarngasm? If not, come here! Fibers so gorgeous it’s hard not to squeal with sheer delight! Some stunning high quality products abound. I was lost without my previous downtown LYS. So happy to finally realize we have another yarn boutique to escape craft store quality fibers. The staff is also very helpful, kind, knowledgeable, and welcoming.

BESTYARNSHOPEVER!!! Superb customer service. Warm greeting. Helped me when I needed it, and left me alone when I needed to be left alone. When I asked questions, they dug for answers, and they weren’t bothered in the least. Very friendly. They had a TON of hand-dyes(my fav!). A great variety of weights and colors. Great quality yarn! I am in heaven when I’m here! As a side note, I wish the finished projects they had out would have tags specifying the yarn and pattern names.

Great yarn store! This is a fairly upscale shop with lots of trendy new dyers and yarns. They do sell Shepherds Wool as well as a few other midrange beauties as well. This place is a real treat to visit!

We were stopped at the light when I spotted this lovely little yarn store and leapt out of the car to go check it out. The selection is very nice, it feels incredibly welcoming, and the service is good. I love a yarn store with natural lighting, because nothing is worse than getting home and realizing the yarns you bought aren’t quite exactly the color you thought they were. If you visit, make sure to check out the selection of yarns on sale, because those were some nice yarns at nice prices. As someone else mentioned, the staff knows the story behind all the yarns and can tell you a lot about where they are from. If I lived in the area, this would be my regular local yarn store.

I stumbled across this lovely yarn shop on a recent trip to Frederick. I figured it had been around forever, but as the owner greeted me warmly at the door with an outstretched hand, I learned it just opened this past summer. I was surprised to see they’re not on Unilocal yet — since anyone who finds this spot will be glad they did. The space is beautifully arranged and organized with lots of natural light, seating, great shelving, and lovely yarns. The owner spent time chatting with me and helping me find some unique Maryland yarns that were died or produced nearby. She knows the story behind all of her yarns, was friendly, patient, and welcoming. The other ladies in the shop were also lovely — I just wish I could have taken the shop back to Baltimore with me. Four stars instead of five? Only because some items were on the pricey side. It may be a fair price for a particular item, but I can only afford to spend so much on one ball of yarn… If you find yourself in Frederick, definitely stop in for some unique yarns and some warm customer service. I went in not intending to buy anything and left with some beautiful yarn — surprise!
